Just found out. If you get the COVID vaccine, you can't donate plasma.

Yes I do have a source for this, unfortunately as much as I would like to tell you said source, revealing said source would enable people to know who I am, other than my gamer name which I use here. But thank you.

The Red Cross won't take plasma currently if you've been vaccinated, but they will take whole blood.

Other sites that harvest plasma have different rules. This one, for example, says convalescent plasma donations ARE fine.

So it sounds to me like it varies by provider. No need to sensationalize it. (Or, for that matter, your identity.)

That's fine, I just have enough of the fake news circling around.

Yeah, there is too much fake news these days, and cancel culture does not help. Anyway, had a great 4th, took a couple of days to recover from it. I'd tell you about but I'd be bragging.

The Red Cross is accepting plasma from covid-vaccinated people now, as of middle of May sometime.

And there's always a whole blood shortage. Please consider donating!
