PGI, shut up and take my money. Seriously. Legend of the Kestrel Lancers looks excellent.

Any comment on when MWO 2.0 will be coming out using the MW5 engine... with melee combat?

melee will be nice but what i really want is for the idiot AI to be fixed.

another question is if the DLC is its own start from scratch story line or do you continue where the core Story ends? (the first DLC had no story stuff and was honestly not worth the money. though since i got it one Steam and with a steam code from another site i only spent $20 for the Dropship edition.)

Until I discover otherwise, I’m going to assume that the 4th Succession war was done as a series of missions like the DLC gave us. Otherwise they would have advertised “new story campaign” or something.

my game clock is already a year into the clan invasion and so far no clans.

they haven't released clans yet though there is a mod that ads clan weapons and equipment to the game (it also doesn't start adding them until around the time of the clan invasion. the mod adds other weapons and equipment as well injecting it around the time they were introduced in Lore)


we might not see clans give how PGI likes doing the least amount of work possible.

Well, I just downloaded the new patch, and started up some instant action. all I can say is that it is both brutal and incredibly satisfying to pin a panther against a hillside and beat it to death with a Nightstar. Who needs lostech when you have the power of FIST?!?!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that it is "Y". Unable to test ATM...

well i have to do some troubleshooting before i can play the new DLC because i think one of my mods doesn't work with and the game just crashes when it tries to load in Career (sort of sad that DLC is not an addition to the campaign)

Mods usually need to be "updated" for new patches and DLCs - most of them should not work until then!

yeah i think i will wait for my mods to get updated before i play anymore. shouldn't take to long. most mod authors seem pretty quick on updating things when there is a new patch or DLC that gums up the works.

No kicks, just punches. I imagine properly animating a kick and restricting mech movement during a kick would be pretty difficult and time consuming to get right.

I see there is no kicking.. oh well.. have to stick to punching then.. and only with mechs that have arm/hand actuators..

Still.. it's hella fun to punch stuff.. and is beautifully animated.

A big win for this game..

What I especially like.. A.I. enemies use melee on you.

It's a completely different game now. Way to freshen it up!
