Merry Xmas all :)
im just shocked whats up in this game, after coming back.
i do not want to "name and shame" or "just whine"...from what i remember in the forum are mostly ppl really connected to the game, maybe i got some tip how to handle the actual playerbase better.

i can life with 0:12 games
i can life with ppl playing more counterstrike then a team game
i can life with ppl spamming the voice chat with music or some other nonsens
i can life with this sometimes weeird matchmaker
i can life with a lot....it is just a game, but:

i got reported first time since i start playing in beta times for nothing.
i enter a game, see a faction called "R2" and just sayed "first thing i thought there is a clan called D2 missed"...because i thinked at R2D2.
next i read....."reported" from on of there members.

wtf....really...report me, because i say D2 ?
whats up with this guy ?

i try to clear things out, but not...the guy freak out.
dont know what happend to me, maybe emotions...i never did this before, but i searched him, shoot a lot at him and told him he should report this.
stupid i know...

after this i got another "reported" from him, this is ok as i shoot him.
but i cant clear things out with him, he just blame me and my family.

so after the game, i send a friend invite to clear the childish stuff.
next i got 3 lines, he reported me again...for sending him a friend invite.
he blamed my sister and some other stuff...

what the hell ?
hard to ignore such ppl, as for now i know the next games i played and see his faction i need to watch my back. such a shame, ppl acting like surrats for no reason.

how do you handle such stuff ?
how to ignore, wen u got blamed/reported for nothing.
i allways try to help or be a team member, stop firing if one is in front oft me...while others kill my back. it just sucks, such moments.

i know, if i do not like it...i can quit.
i just want to play this game, have fun...can we share some xmas love plz :)

edit:
after reading again...its a whining post, i do not want to write.
but as this is offtopic, i love to read what what you experience while gaming.
maybe we can whine together :D

My golden rule is... don't let the antics of a total stranger on the internet get under your skin.

The ratio varies of course, but for every total PEACH of a player out there, there are a number of fine people to play with. Focus on them.

And welcome back.

I reported a guy for non-participation, who intentionally left at the beginning of the match (he stated so).

Someone else supposedly reported me for reporting. Do you know what I did? I laughed. It was actually kind of funny in the moment.

Don't let that stuff bother you.

I'd be willing to bet that most of us have been reported at one time or another, not necessarily for violations of PGI's code of conduct. All it takes is someone just having a bad day. Reporting does not amount to anything until a threshold is met. I don't know what that threshold is, but I also don't know anyone among my small group of mwo friends who has hit it.

For those who might be reading between the lines, I am not suggesting anyone intentionally do things to get reported, in order to "discover" what the threshold is.

Two things:

1. Ignore everything what people say in the game.

2. You do not know if that player actually reported you.

Saying "reported" in chat in response to a seemingly-arbitrary comment is an actual meme; It's a popular thing to do in multiplayer games with text chat. It's a satirical reference of how people can get offended by something otherwise innocuous, and, as a result, abuse the report system to protect their feelings. It usually goes something like this:

Pyrocynical: The new Charli XCX bops
Joeseppi: REPORTED
MoistCr1tiKal: reported for reporting

It's 100% a meme, and not a serious thing.

Edit: Fixed a typo.

Hence the reason I usually just say "You'll be hearing from my agent!" Posted Image
