So I am considering the Solaris 7 pack as a starting point and already own the Revenant, what happens to the one from the pack if I buy it? Does it double up, do I lose out on the 7th mech, and if so do I get the mechbay at least?

You end up with 2 Revenants. Mechs are not.. "lore" where a player can have only one specific mech.

Solaris7 mech pack is quite a deal!
7x Hero mechs, and 30days active Premium Time!

I especially like the Solaris Warhorn B; one of my favorites ;)

Hero mechs are not unique - you can own multiples of one if you like. The only "unique" mechs are the (S)pecial variants from Collector packs (since you can't buy a collector pack multiple times on the same account) and theoretically the (L)oyalty variants (but PGI did two years where you could redeem previous years' (L) variants instead of adding new ones, so...)

Most of those heroes have pretty substandard hardpoints. Only a few are worh it compared to their c-bill equivalents.
