An idea that came from me after reading the following

https://www.sarna.ne...ki/Dual_Cockpit
https://www.sarna.ne...ttleMech_Turret

uale user mechs would be rare variants that can have two pilots in them the primary pilot controls movement while the secondary controls weapons mounted to unique turret mounts.

Dual cockpit
info: adds a second pilot, uses pilot 1s mobility skills and pilot 2s weapon skills in use. allows use of rear mounted weapons and full use of mech turrets.

Shoulder mounted turret
info: adds a top mounted 360 degree aim area turret, these tend to have 1 large weapon slot or 2 medium depending on the mech. if the mech doesn't have dual cockpit, just allows extreme angle aim of the weapons.

torso mounted turret
info: adds a 260 degree turret that always has 1 or 2 small weapon mounts. These are generally under mounted to deal with infantry, light mechs, and vehicles. most commonly equiped with flamthrowers or MGs.

Advanced rotation arm mount
info: you have a rifleman, blackjack, or other AA mech, allows you to fire your weapons to your rear, only useful if you have a dual cockpit version of the mech, other wise you can aim up or down a bit more.

Rear mounted slot
info: it is a rear mounted weapon, generally only seen on heavy mechs, unless you have a dual cockpit or are using a drone using these tends to be hard. mechs with these have a mounting direction option of forward of backwards. Almost always M lasers.

Mech idea Examples

CPLT-G1 (gunboat one)
info: a heavily modified "hero" catapult using a dual cockpit and torso mounted turret. Said turret has twin MGs on it allowing for 260 degree firing area.

the driver controls the MGs and movement while the gunner controls the LRMS having advanced cameras (they have a 360 degree view from cameras. this is on all dual cockpit mechs)

Unique slots: turret slots small x2
dual cockpit: blocks everything form the head slot.

MAD-AT3
info: A training artillery mech, the AT3 is equiped with a left shoulder mounted small caliber howitzer (has blast radius) To use this it PPCs and AC/5 have been stripped instead having 4 flamethrowers and a single turret mounted M laser.

On the turret mount is (stubnose longtom) and (M-laser)

MAD-AT2
info: A more common dual cockpit MAD, the AT2 strips out its PPCs and replaces them with a turret mounted RAC/5

DRG-CM (command)
info: a dual cockpit dragon with a torso mounted turret equiped with a SSRM-6 and two rear mounted flamethrowers.

Along with the standard mechs would come two new Quad mechs, these are large and in charge mechs with a Massive Dual shoulder turret mount this means any weapon used on the left and right side is put on their turret. the big thing is these are rare before 3060

All Quads have a passive where there weapons gain +20% to all range brackets so long as they are immobile and become more accurate while immobile. Another bonus to quad mechs, is you can't "leg" them, as removing their legs just causes them to become almost immobile (5 KPH move speed) But to counter that destroying their turret usually wipes out all their weapons and heavily damages both sides.

SCORPION
the most "common" walker you will find a fast 94 KPH medium mech armed with an SRM6 and PPC on its default version. These are a strangly good scout mech and do to their quad mech nature there is no such thing as a vulnerable side.

https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Goliath

Goliath
What happens when a tanker gets a hold of a mech engineering license the goliath is more or less a tank on legs at 80 tons. while it holds fiew weapons by default, it can be armed with any weapon in the game with a unique quad universal mount meaning any 4 weapons that fit can be placed on it.
