When I start MW5 on the Epic portal I get an overlay of all the new mech variants in the new DLC and can't do anything after I try to continue, I assume the auto update broke a few things and will have to start a new carrier.

Have you tried starting the game from the EXE file?

I can't get my latest save games to work too. I get the same overlay.
I don't think the save games are broken, it's the overlay.
When i load a save game with few mechs in it, then this overlay is small. It shows a list of now invalid mechs due to some game changes. There is a button on the bottom to disable this overlay and everything works fine.
It seems that this overlay gets bugged when i load a save with many mechs on that list. Then this overlay is bigger than the screen and i can't see, reach or click the button.
Must be a game bug that came with latest update. At least that's my idea, but i have no solution
I wait, if i'm right then this should get patched soon.

EDIT:
Great News!
The recent patch solved the problem for me.
The overlay is way smaller now and i can klick the button. All savegames are fine.
