Are you supposed to hear the people you've blocked? What does blocking even do?

I blocked a guy that was super annoying and could continue to hear him through chat and I couldn't mute him. It is so freaking annoying when players just make noises or are doing things that are just distracting.

sometimes you get sound from somone's discord, teamspeak, etc looping back through someone's mic.

No, this was him actually talking. In the match I'm talking about he was making annoying noises until the match started and then started talking non stop to the other players of the team. This was not an echo through someone elses mic.

There is a bug with blocked players. Many people, including myself, have experienced it.

Sometimes a blocked player will not be blocked properly, so you have to un-block them so that you can re-block them.

I've noticed the same thing. Sometimes blocking works fine, sometimes you block and the sound of their prattling does indeed continue - it's rare though, maybe 2 or 3 times total (or more, and maybe the blocked player isn't talking and I haven't noticed).

There's something sometimes wierd with the sound/mic interface - i've had the game crash several times, and the mic sound continues, even without the game running. I'm usually trying to do the frantic log back in and resume match thing while hearing random talk from teammates while i'm trying to restart the game and get back into the match. Odd.
