Something strange with colours of Vitric Station. One time it was normal, other it had purple-red colours.

Go into your settings and turn post processing to low. That removes most of the glow and fog related effects.

I've had no such display problems as described by OP.

I've also set all my video settings to "Low".

Yes this is an odd thing.

The first 3 rounds I played in Vitric Forge, all was normal.

The fourth round it was indeed all glowing and looked like a bad acid trip although I changed nothing on my end except for shutting down the game to have a snack and take my dogs out. Then came back and restarted the game, WTH!!! LOL

Just weird....

It seems it is an unstable bug that has nothing with post processing and fog.

Odd. I played it like a zillion times so far and no weird lighting happened. I do run a custom xml script for the graphics though so that might have something to do with it.

I like the tron look. Makes you actually have to work as a team vs the bland grey hpg color scheme. Having max sensors helps too.

I speculate that one or two drop positions starts you in this pink mode.

If you don't end up in those positions, you're fine. If you do, it's awesome duuude.

Just today, a fellow member in our 12-player drop said he saw pink everywhere at the start of our QP game.
At the same time, my computer did not have this problem.

Hopefully it's not hard to track down like the HUD bug from the beta days where one player on your team would always be missing a blue Dorito above them so you blast them thinking they were an enemy. Turned out to be a bug in the ScaleForm system in CryEngine or something and took months to figure out.

What actions do you mean exactly? This problem appears 1 time per 10 drops roughly. When the cache should be deleted?
Or "gpu user" != human in this case?

I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to depend on drop side.

Blasting your teammates due to an alledgedly bug? Licence to k i l l your teammate?
Might not be a bad idea, especially if teammate has that Khan Gold mech ;)

It has happened to me twice now. It does not happen every time, about half of the time. I've found if you use the H button to do heat image, you can at least see stuff and get rid of the purple!

How about some player reaction to this map? Well, I think it is a mess. It is too ambitious in design, as if it is trying to include every type of play style at once, which cannot be done. The map resembles an arena map slanted toward brawling. There are few, if any, spots where one cannot be sniped or flanked from several directions. I have yet to see a team strategy that works in soup queue matches. Mostly, its a scramble to the top, shoot out, then drop in a favorable (hopefully) direction. Or stay enmass in a specific area and wait for the OPFOR to grind themselves against your firing line. Easier to do in a group drop environment. In soup queue, no so much because everyone wants to do their own thing and ppl generally get lost in the lower level maze.

The map needs to go back for some refinement to encourage team play instead of the Solaris-style brawl-out.

Finally got some games in. I like it alot! It merges some feelings of Rubellite and HPG. It's a bit of a complex design. So far almost all the fighting has been in the middle but I was playing heavy mechs. Lights were roaming the outside edges and not very visible. The best strategy seems to be to control the top in the middle, but not everyone did that. The rest of the map I have not fought on, but there's plenty of space. The biggest complaint I have is texture Z-fighting, but that is true in the other newer maps too. I wish PGI would go through and do an art pass. There's floating plants on Hellebore Springs and tress in buildings in the other new map, in addition to overlapping geometry/textures in HPG. But I realize cleaning this up is a low priority to generating new content or fixing bugs and probably not worth the time investment.
