Hey guys i hope somebody can help me. I am loosing constantly career saves after the Epic launcher updates. than if i start Epic MW5 is not longer in the quickstart list and when i start the Game i have to agree the eula again. If i then try to load a game it loads an older save and all newer Careers (including campaigns) are gone. In the Folder the saves exist but i cant find them ingame.

Any Solutions? I am sick of replay the game every time this occurs.

Ah. I had a better one typed and it got lost.

My solution would be to reinstall Windows. Been using Epic since the game came out and 91 hours on MW5, played this week, etc never see that issue.

Also the game not seeing the saves could be a read, path, or OS issue. The game should see it.

I suppose it could also be installed software blocking the game from seeing it or even Windows defender ransomware protection if you have that enabled as it can block access of applications to necessary locations.

Okay i solved the Problem.

Problem: a Career disappears after game start.

Solution: you need the following to solve the Problem:

- you need at least one working career save. (another career or start a new one)
- locate your savegame. its in appdata/local/mw5/savegames
- search the savegame folders (they are named like cv4kr6zdfj94 or such names)
- locate the campaign.json inside the save folder and open it. when the File is empty locate a save folder with a campaign.json with data inside
- copy the campaign.json and overwrite the empty file
- open the new file with the editor and cange your unit name it so you can find it.
- save file

- start mw5
- load a save
- locate the career with the new name
- saves have garbage names but thats okay
- load a save: if you get the "new career screen" close the game and load games till you spawn inside a mission.
- finish mission
- save game

- restart mw5 and your old save will be back. load normal named saves

I hope you're not continually doing all that lol.

Once, okay. More than that and its like making soup outside the window while reaching in :)
