Patch Files (Direct Download)

To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.

Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.

This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam.

Patch File(s): - http://patcher.mwomercs.com/patch/Production/frontend/FrontendPatch_407.zip

  • Download the above file(s)
  • For sake of ease, we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
  • You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
  • Launch the MWO Portal
  • Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
  • Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
  • In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
  • For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
  • Click the blue Patch button
  • The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch.
  • Once the patch is complete, launch the game

Who's smoking bad crack, to think giving the HBK-4SP +10 structure bonus quirks to everywhere but the head???
Forgive my outtake, but that seems insanely tanky for no reason if added on top what it has already for armor and structure quirks then equipping x2_MRM30 on it. (even more after skill points adjust armor/structure)

I'm down for crazy buffs but, call it a hunch I think that is too much over buff.
Is this a typo and they are to adjusting it down to only +10 structure for body and limbs or they forgot to put in patch notes they are removing armor quirks?

This game didn't exist then, so your point is moot.

What part of "bring back the classic Terra Therma" did you guys not understand?!?!?!

If you make "updates" to the original, YOU DIDN'T BRING BACK THE CLASSIC MAP. How hard is it to just leave things alone and not screw with them?

No you won't. Did you look at the screen shots? It's not there anymore. It's been replaced with Stonehenge.

There are better platform for MRMs like the Trebuchet 7S, mobility and JJ are better than armor.
HBK-4SP is designed for brawling and has no quirk range.

Well, a strange caldera with an impossible geological structure nevertheless. I will give it a chance before whining.

This game didn't exist then, so your point is moot.

The point is that the intrinsic slot and tonnage (and, to a lesser extent, range and damage) nature of Clantech is such a huge (and balance-distorting) thing that it does require extreme favouritism to the IS for a workable balance given the different context MWO operates in from the tabletop, so kvetching about that is dumb.

I agree, you can barely call this classic, when its obviously not. However, im very glad, terra therma classic was a very bad map, hope you wont ever return it to game. Can't wait until i play this.

How? Did you remove another feature of the game in this patch? There are so many more that can be removed. How about removing the shaking of the cab while driving? Or prohibit pilots from turning their mechs on and off? Adjusting the light in the cockpit is also, probably, a feature that is useless from your point of view?
...
The patch is good
