UrbanMechs Only (UrbanMechs currently 50% OFF!)

So perhaps this wasn't as clear as it should be. I see 1 Urbie on sale. It literally says UrbanMechs, that's a plural, and says currently.. so that should be now. Is it really just waiting for Sunday or something?

To be fair, the R80 is arguably the best Capellan Trash Can. But yes, the wording is perhaps a bit disingenuous. Not that UrbanMechs particularly break the bank in the first place.

They don't, unless you generally despise being in a light mech, but wanted to participate in the weekend event dedicated to them

Urbie Derbie event-queue games are a fantastic opportunity to take a break from MWO and play something else, or handle some weekend chores.

Because believe you me - playing in an Urbie Derbie event is certainly a chore.

It pays to always manually check the store and see what exactly is on sale; you avoid grammar errors irritating you. Often times things are on sale quite a bit sooner than advertised in banners too.

If you play the Urbie Derbie this weekend for any real time, you will undoubtedly make back enough c-bills to buy at least a couple of Urbies, on sale or not.

So far I'm not a fan of the new (old??) map - hot, dark, and rough terrain kind of leave me wondering what's to like about it, but maybe some Urbie matches will change my opinion.

The last "Urbie Derby" I tried to play in was an infinite sea of invisible trashcans with snubs. In any given sixteen-'Mech game, there might have been two trashcans that weren't ECM-toting, Snub-blasting R80s. There sure as hell weren't three, and odds were decent there wasn't even one. I don't think there was one single ballistic weapon in the entire thing, which seems awful damn weird for an "Urbie Derby".
