The other day I was running around in a Commando and generally causing insurance claims on the other team's mechs. Saw a heavy trying to slug it out with three friendlies while retreating out of a canyon. So despite my exposed CT structure I ran down behind the enemy and blocked his path while shooting him in the back. I literally died from repeated backing collision damage to the CT from his 31 kph reverse gear, before my team blew him apart.

I managed to drop artillery strike on my own 'Mech.

I just wanted to launch UAV to see what is going on around my crippled 'Mech, but I pushed the wrong button.

And since my 'Mech was already badly damaged ... You know the rest.

Jump jet and land on a barely open leg, die to ammo explosion for a relatively fresh mech. Cause of death is "Unknown killed Nightbird"

Loooong loong time ago in someone headshotted my fullspeed going Jenner-D with single AC10, I was like phew only small bullet no problem just barely got through my stripped head armor....

....and fraction of second later ammo explosion.

The only time in game history that I have had head ammo explosion and I always store ammo in the head if it there is a free slot.

Playing a shadowcat-B on Mining with 2ERPPC.
Do a big jump and twist around to scout while waiting on heat to dissipate.
MAD-4L sniper nails me in the rear side torso in midair with 2GR+2ERPPC.
Massive heatspike while already hot.
Can't shut down until I land or fall damage will break my legs.
Cause even more heat using the JJs to break my fall.
Hit P as soon as I'm down.
Cockpit dips down. There's a piranha right in front of me.
He cockpits me.

i once got hit by a single stray machine gun bullet from a battle going on at the other side of a hill. and promptly exploded.

I was down a leg and the other was compromised. I walked off a low height and it must have been just high enough to damage the other leg and kill me. I was shocked and then laughed at myself.

ive had no fewer than 10 instances of a cat taking a stroll across my keyboard during battle, stepping on the alpha strike button, and promptly making me explode from overheating. damn it lizzie.

back in the TIME of TEAMSPEAK, i was with group of 8, and we were talking up a full left swing i was ask to, or invited to -play with SAID TEAM, and was running a DIREWOLF, of course i had a large weapons, got launched and then my cat jumped on my keyboard, and the guy in front of me died, then i had to set there and watch 6 new team mates kill me.

SAWK PS i learned to have CAT treats BEFORE i drop : ) NEVER PLAY with them again GEEZ

No literally you want to, if 1 game out of my some 19k quick play, thousands of FP, Solaris and Comp has lead to my cockpit explosion that is extremely safe place to store ammo. (and of course not even half of those games I was running a mech with weapons that used ammo but still quite large number)

- Chance of headshot is very small.
- If you don't strip armor from head (chance of headshot is so small that I almost always do) chances that that said rare hit destroys your armor is small
- And third chance of ammo explosion EVEN if your ammo gets destroyed is very small.

I once died from an ammo explosion even though my Centurions armour was damaged but unbreached. That said, this was years ago, and I think it was a bug.

yea, except lizzie is a 25 pound cat. cant give her any more treats, she will explode.

I would recommend installing a TAG laser to the head and making Lizzie chase locks.
