my most played mech is the misery. though i never really considered it a favorite. idk im kind of a dire guy. i can always make the thing to work, the ultraviolent is #2 by usage.

least favorite is probibly a medium. i want to say trebuchet but idk, there are other mediums i just hate using, and there are a lot of them. i can never seem to play them correctly and its my weakest class. perhaps excluded are fast mediums which i can usually make work as they play like lights, and the heavier mediums that are pretty much pocket assaults.

The DWF-A(P) is my favourite mech, followed closely by DWF-C(S)!
Guess I'm a Dire Wolf guy
(I have 4x DWF-A(P) mechs, always try to participate in those 400ton Assault Events!)
(The DWF-A(P) CT is even better than DWF-UV, but the catch is that you also need DWF-UV unique ballistic arms 1:1 ratio)

(I do have the full mech packs for both Stone Rhino and Bullshark, but somehow I still find my Dire Wolf more fun!)

Weak at: Light / Medium / Heavy mechs
But seriously, I always get headaches from playing Light mechs on my computer screen

but if I'm being honest about life:

Favorite - the Mech the other guy on my team is in that just happens to come to my aid when I've been caught out of position and am about to get clobbered by someone on the other team and they save the day.

Least Favorite - that Mech the other guy on my team is in that keeps stopping right in a choke point preventing me from getting to the rest of the team to support, and oh gosh now he's backing up so I have to make room, so I take a different path to join the fight and now that I can fire on the enemy, but wait I can't because he's now moved into my fire line so he can get a shot.

choke point hogs are the devil. usually almost always a camper who doesnt know how the minimap works. would rather hog a ramp and trade solo than let his team up to also trade. its one thing to be a useless potato. but if you cause other people to play like potatoes because of your piss poor situational awareness, you should go to the special hell.

Favorite: Any 75 ton IS Marauder. I love them all but especially the BH2 and -5M. Long, Medium, or Short range, there are builds for all.

Least Favorite: Battlemasters... I WANT to love them, and they were a staple of mine back to the second edition tabletop when I started but DAMN do they struggle to find their way in MWO.

It breaks my heart but you are right. You can give all the ammo buffs you want but it doesn't bring the pain fast enough to do a damn thing. I remember the old SRM4 quirks; chain firing two of those things into a heavy's face would cause anyone to back off but with the current meta and slower output it cannot bring the pain quick enough to do a damn thing. Every once and awhile I break it out to try again in the hope it will do something but it just doesn't perform.

While it gives up some range the LAC5 is a major boon to the Blackjack. Two of them backed up by ERML can put out a surprising amount of damage in a short amount of time. It also attracts less attention than most of the other mechs around it.

Favorite chassis in MWO has got to be the Stalker. It just seems to work for me, with all kinds of loadouts.
I also really like Jagermechs- the first mech I bought in MWO was a JM6-S and I still play it often.
Least Favorite is tougher. I have tried to make Fafnirs and King Crabs work but I can't; they seem to be about a mile wide.
I also can't seem to do well with a lot of the faster light mechs, try as I might- but that's more an operator issue than any fault of the mech.
