They're big, they're slow, they attract all kinds of the wrong; and quite frankly unwanted; attention, but the Dire Wolves are my spirit animal!

Followed very closely by the Arctic Cheetahs.

The only mech I don't like is the Pir 1 because I haven't quite figured it out yet.

Favorite: Adder. Packs such a punch for a light! Also, Spirit Bear Kodiak. 100t w/MASC is much fun.

Least favorite: Piranha. I think they're cheap. Hate the cockpit design so much. I can never seem to pilot one well, and when I do, I just feel dirty lol..

Pir have taken a bit of a hit since all the cauldron changes. You used to be able to reliably slide up behind near any mech and core them out from the rear ct in seconds. Now with everyone taking max armor and structure nodes thats out the window. They still do good work with the short range buzzsaw fits in packs but their solo days are mostly over unless you have some major skill.

This is what I use nowadays when I get the fishy itch.

Stay back with the firing line and apply your better than rac2 dps lmg spam at 400m with some er med burns. Works great as a flanker since you have the speed and range to not have to get all up in a mechs face to do meaningful damage. Plus since you won't need the heat nodes thats a ton of skill points you can drop in other areas.

I've got two favorite Mechs and one I find a huge disappointment.

On the favorite side, The Cyclops Hero Sleipnir takes the bacon. I arm mine with 3x RAC/2s and an LB 10-X in the chest, with a pair of Medium Lasers in the Right Arm. I also snuck a Targeting Computer 1, AMS and a Beagle Active Probe [to take additional advantage of the sensor range boost the Cyclops already gets.] The RACs and LB align well range-wise with no heat penalties, and the Probe gives me a Sensor Range of 1536.6. It is fun picking up opponents from across the map.

The second choice for favorite Mech is virtually any Hellbringer. I build for the ECM suite and ignore the set bonus. Despite not having Endo, they still feel great. I have three that I happily run from time-to-time.

As for least favorite Mech, I gotta go with the Archer. I think it is the low-slung cockpit that turns me off, more than anything.

Disliked: flea, locust, piranha, snub urban mech

Favourite: Wolfhound Grinner

Least: Raven Huginn... what a trash mech. no alpha, no real dps, no range, no ecm - in short, it has no saving grace. They should give it its old SRM4 quirks backs. Then it would have at least decent DPS (you can remove the MG skills in return) without being OP.

The only thing the huggin does excel at is range. It can out range the stalkers on lrm range. Not that it matters any more with all the ecm mechs around. It can't even get its own locks since it can't mount a single tag. The free ecm dire this month just adds to the meh of game play. Lrms are effectively "removed" from mwo without having to do any thing but constantly have more and more mechs have ecm.

Solo lrm spamming is long gone but if you have a tag/narc buddy then its very viable and even used in fp on certain maps.

Favorite Mech : Crab
Least Favorite mech : Phoenix Hawk.

I always loved the Medium Crabs in Battletech, could they be better in MWO sure but they hold their own in most cases which is rare for mediums in MWO.

Phoenix Hawks, I have no idea what it is about these mechs but they are atrocious to run for me, they feel weak and under armed. They are fast but not for me, i do see many doing well in them though.

Favorite: the Blackjack. There's just something endlessly entertaining about plinking away with two A/C-2s from halfway across the map. Sure, it's hard to do much damage, but that constant "Ping! Ping! Ping!" of light autocannon rounds impacting you from well out of your own weapon range is aggravating as all heck.
Least favorite: the Annihilator. I don't know what it is but my side torsos pop like soap bubbles in that thing.

My favourite mechs? As a group the Blood Asps. There really isn't a weak variant and once you lean into their strengths there are some overpowered mechs in there. Individually, the Nightstar 10P and the Enforcer 5D are both great fun to play.

My least favourite are stealthy lights that have too much armour.

Favourites:
Light: JVN-10P (insane srm spamer with JJ sooo good), JR7-F (a classic, 6 ML in such a fast mech awesome), PTN-KK (its so fun to play it!), UM-K9 (everyone should buy it), WLF-1 (3 ELL such a good sniper)
Meds: Crabs (they are so good brawlers), Shadow hawks (so fun and challenging to play), stormcrow (best medium period), vapor eagle (med with heavy weapons).
Heavies; Timber wolf (best heavy) and Jaggermech (good snipers)
Assault: I love them all. But I enjoy a lot the Blood Asp.

Hated:
Lights: SPD-5V (should be removed from the game, its so useless...)
Medium: I think shadow cats, that way of playing them all time running around not very fond of hide and seek. Trebuchets, I like to play with them because of the challenge but I won´t recommend them, their torsos are too easy to hit and they lack of armor.
Heavy: All summoners except SMN-B (which is pretty good btw) they had a general lack of hardpoints that drives me mad.
Assault: Cyclops looks ugly and Hatamoto-chi seems pretty useless in general

Favorite Light: Adder CN with 2 UAC5's, Least favorite light: Pirahnna it's like running around in paper machea.

Favorite Medium: Vipers', even though I suck with them. Least favorite: CAn't say there is one. They all have the ups and downs.

Favorite Heavy: Mad Dog C, and yeah, I can dish out some damage in this thing. Least Varite: Rifelman IIC: seems to be too squishy for it's weight.

Favorite Assault: Had to say, Mad Cat II (A, B, 1, Death Strike, Moonwalker) Least Favorite: Bottom of the list, Blood Asp

This is just out of the mechs I own. I need more, anyone gifting mech packs!?
