Black Adam

A powerful being is brought back to the modern world to wreck havoc on evil

Starring the Rock

Black Adam follows along the line of "Shazam", and has his powers by a group of wizards. While in search of a crown hidden away, a lady explorer is betrayed and mercenaries arrive to take the crown, what they get is thrashed by a super being. Champions of good arrive to contain him, only he is too powerful for them, and in the end he must face a long forgotten evil.

Scenes include a guy getting third degree schock treatment, a cool plane, and a visit to hell. May not be suitable for young children, but otherwise this is a good move loaded with special effects. Violence, some foul language.

Lore wise Black Adam is the predecessor to Shazam but he was too, shall we say, ermm, enthusiastic about using his powers and got a bit out of hand. Kinda like Homelander in The Boys. Iirc he was banished to the other side of the galaxy.
