Masc Variant Switch

Can you move masc from one mech variant that has it to a variant that doesn't.

One cataract has masc and I want to put on another variant without it. before I buy two I want to know if it's possible.

The ability to employ MASC is like a hardpoint for weapons. MASC can not be used on any variant. The ability to do so is listed under the variants capabilities.
