I thought of something today.

since people complain about 1v1 they think it's too empty.
Why don't we combine 2 teams and make deathmatch?

I am sure it will be very interesting.

24 players, last one standing wins.
or
last 3 players win.

I was wondering if I could make such a mod in mechwarrior5

this was brought up before solaris even came out. lots of people just wanted death match. or team death match with 6 lances trying to be the last alive. or an unlimited respawn deathmatch. or a royal rumble style where every time someone/a lance dies a new player/lance drops into the match.

unfortunately we get the usual excuses. "engine limitation", "no coders", "too much work", "no funding", "lets just do low hanging fruit instead", "were too niche", etc. frankly if i had the same work ethic as this studio, id be homeless.

opening the map and placing 24 spawn points. Why is it so hard.?

its a team thing, the game only supports 2 and you cant add more (see list of standard excuses above).

The game was made with cryengine, it has a crysis multiplayer deathmatch feature.

they don't have the crysis game code, only the engine code (if they even have the code and its not a black box binary blob).
