From the graphics, does that mean we will be getting a special variant of Corsair? Cannot wait!

Am I missing something? I unlock cockpit items from the event but then I have to pay MC to use them?

A warm welcome to MWO!

As a general rule of thumb, you'll be better off if you redeem all your Event bonuses inside the MWO game client itself. Rewards inject within seconds
ie: While inside the MWO game program itself: press the [E] on the bottom of your MechLab
~Select your Event, click [Redeem] while inside the MWO game program itself.

If you choose to redeem your Event bonuses in MWO webpage itself, it may take up to 1 hour for your account to receive these bonuses...

Then for them to populate when they are ready to load, log in/out, drop into the testing grounds then back or they will populate at some point once you return from a combat drop. They will not populate while in the mechbay/mechlab.
