We have another hot-fix patch in certification that we will be releasing early next week!

Hotfix 3 Patch Notes - The Patch will be deployed Early Next Week

Features:

  • Added the ability for Co-Op players to take over AI 'Mechs while spectating
  • Design note: Swap functionality for clients does not include usage on the radial menu for this update
  • Fixed Issues:

Co-Op

  • Fixed an issue where clients could see other player 'Mechs jitter after mission sequences
  • Fixed an issue where 'Mechs would be missing in the post-mission screen if they were destroyed during the mission
  • Fixed an issue where client 'Mechs could be rearranged after a mission restart
  • Fixed an issue where clients could target destroyed Sokol rotors
  • Fixed issues where the HUD, camera, or player control would sometimes not be restored after using repair bays

Platform Specific

  • Added support for Nvidia Reflex and Frame Generation for Microsoft Store users
  • Fixed a console bug where custom key bindings would not save once the title is restarted
  • Added support for PlayStation Controllers for Microsoft Store

Campaign Missions

  • Fixed an area in ‘Reckoning’ where users could fall through the map
  • Fixed an issue in 'Reckoning' where playing a second time would trigger the wrong cinematics
  • Fixed an issue in ‘Voices of the Past’ where the hangar door would remain closed if one of your 'Mechs was destroyed
  • Fixed a blocker that could occur in ‘A World on Fire’

Performance

  • Improved overall performance in the first two missions
  • Improved overall performance in ‘Boxed In’

Audio

  • Improved the audio quality of Mia’s dialogue for all barks and Santander missions

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where weapons could remain disabled after switching 'Mechs with the radial menu open
  • Fixed instances where menus could overlap if 'Mech was switched while performing other actions
  • The ‘Doomsday Machine’ achievement/trophy now properly unlocks with the starting 'Mechs (Viper, Arctic Cheetah, Mist Lynx and Kit Fox)

UI

  • Fixed an issue in Archives where viewing consecutive cinematics could cause subtitles to briefly carry over
  • Fixed an issue where incorrect text was displayed when first entering the Completed Research menu
  • Fixed an issue where some campaign saves would appear greyed out in the Title Screen
  • Fixed an issue where keyboard input could stop working if you double-clicked Facilities or a Drop Deck pilot slot

Settings

  • Fixed an issue where the FPS limit option would not function
  • Fixed a typo in the “Invert X-Axis” option
  • Corrected the keybind listings for Starmate commands

Localization

Improved overall localization for German, Russian, Japanese, and French

Known Issues

  • Some trees have the incorrect material in Huntress, the Combat Sim and Shooting Range Sim Pod missions
  • There are UI bugs when using PlayStation 5 Controllers through the Microsoft Store client

Can you now increase the difficulty level? I don't know if I've played too much MWO, but on Expert I glide through the missions like a hot knife through butter...

I found an odd bug where if you quit a simulation while the screen is black when you come out of the simulation the screen is still black.

When piloting a Viper with

this loadout does not draw the small lasers firing for me I dunno if this is an AMD issue.


also my jump jet meter does not update at all or very slowly.

my keypad does not work for throttle is this only usable in classic controls mode?

Today the following happened: On Turtle Bay I guided my star into the sea to the edge of the map. One 'Mech was completely submerged and no longer moving.

BUGS/LAME FEATURES:
  • Expert Difficulty: The Expert difficulty setting is significantly easier than expected, offering little challenge to experienced players.
  • Lack of Rewards for Expert Completion: Completing maps on Expert difficulty does not provide any unique rewards, such as special missions, bonus skills, or achievements. This diminishes the incentive to play at a higher difficulty.
  • Ineffective Countermeasures: MASC (Maneuver Armor System), Fast Mechs are not needed, and ECM (Electronic Countermeasures) appear to have little to no impact on gameplay, rendering them essentially useless.
  • Weapon Imbalance:
    • Certain weapon types, such as SRMs (Short-Range Missiles), are significantly underpowered and rarely see effective use.
    • Conversely, lasers are currently overpowered, dominating most combat scenarios.
