a new form of game revenue and an immersive idea to give players the option to sell their used mechs or equipment for MC where the seller takes the mc amount minus 15% MC kinda like Counter strike market place wwith the price of is preset by the devs, a crude idea that need refining what do you guys suggest?

With how the current game system is, with everyone purchasing mechs on the same basic price (it's not dynamic), I do not see purchasing "used" mechs even remotely possible. If we couldn't change builds without cost, or mechs could gain "quirks" as they are damaged and repaired over time ("that knee actuator just never acted the same again after taking that Arrow IV"), I don't see what the purpose for "resale" of used mechs might even be.

We all purchase mechs for the same costs. We can all freely rotate mech builds (even engines) at no cost as long as we already own that item. We can change weapons on the fly for nothing. There is currently nothing to do with a "used mech" at this time...

perhaps instead of a "used mech" marketplace, we could gift mechs to new pilots from our hangar. this could be a good way for veterans to make space in the hangar and help newbs out by giving them a leg up.

The problem with that... we then would need much higher account security. Otherwise, well... Have you played other games that permit account item trading? Sell bots, scams and account compromises are far more "popular".

dont attach a revenue number to the "transaction" you as the giver would essentially take a loss on the 'mech as you are gifting it. make it a one way transfer. that eliminates the scam/seller problems and as far as account compromises, make it so both accounts need to be in the same unit or at the very least have friend status and remove the transfer of account or API related data. camo gets reverted to stock, cockpit items are removed, etc.

Here is the tale many with a hacked account can tell you:
- Oh No! My account is hacked!
- Yes, I got my account back!
- Oh... Where did all my stuff go? I've been robbed!

All you would be doing is opening the possibility for people to have a reason to start trying to scam/hack into accounts, to trade the stuff from that account to another account. Then, other crafty people will also get into their head to sell these mechs as "trades" for real money.

As much as a used mech market might be interesting, it currently opens up too much vulnerability we currently enjoy not having. We currently can gift mech packs to people from the story, or MC can even be gifted. So... why would we need this system that opens vulnerabilities and possibly scams into the game? I just don't see a use for it with how the game is right now.

If it was proposed that mechs could take time/c-bills to alter for customization, or develop random issues after receiving damage making the mech unique over time and maybe worthy of "replacing, then maybe such a used mech selling system could be more openly proposed.

As it is right now, you want a mech? Go earn C-bills (or MC during events) to purchase it from the market. The market doesn't shift (besides with occasional sales), and mechs don't have limited stock. Customization is free (provided you already own the gear) and instant. There is currently no reason to sell "used mechs" in this game. You currently can already gift mechs (via mech packs or MCs) to other people. There is just no reason for it within the current state of the game at this time.
