It's based on its original illustration from Technical Readout 3050 by Steve Venters where the "N" loadout matches the art 1 for 1 unlike the actual stats for the Prime config in the TRO.
I wasn't aware of any of this lol
My thought process was:
"Okay, cauldron wants a TBR-N? Yeah I can model an extra ballistic for each side torso. No sweat."
"Hmm. I'm a little short on time because of Clans, I've had this rust/corrosion skin sitting on back burner for a bit. Maybe I finish that one?"

The changes to differentiate LBX and standard ACs would have been incredible 10 years ago, but with how many times they've had their spread buffed over the years, not to mention how strong the LBX EXE-B-C is already, I think that's a big enough DPS buff to make them overshadow the other AC types even without the nerfs. Nerfing IS AC5 but not C-AC5 or C-AC10 is a little confusing.
Other changes are a little unusual, but seem good. ERLL boats will be dangerous, but more possible to fight with something that isn't also an ERLL boat. LAMS boating might be kinda funny.
Looking forward to trying my new Battlemaster... and a 38 DPS LB5X Mauler.

I'm surprised at this choice. Why the N variant is anyone's guess. With ballistic HP's an all time favorite for cauldron. The T. Wolf F fits the profile, with its three Balistic HP (all torso mounted, CT/RT/LT). The rest of the weapons are the same as the Prime variant. I'm not complaining, just surprised.

Sure wish we can transfer this paintjob to other Timber Wolf mechs.
I personally am willing to pay MC for this paint job to be "unlockable" across all my Timber Wolf mechs!

Speaking of skins, I wonder, are there more Galaxy skins coming for the Clans?

its more of a sidegrade. slightly less dps, slightly less heat. i suppose its good for ac5 boats, bad if you just have an ac5 or two. since the ac5 has some range too it maybe it was to reduce ranged play effectiveness, but then you got the ac2 with its buffs. i really dont get this one, maybe the cauldron could explain.

You should see the M variant. Like the N variant, it uses PPCs, but here's the kicker, it's a D variant Clone, with one exception: a Heavy Flamer in the CT and whereas the D has SSRM's, the M has four regular LRM 5's with x2 tons of ammo. Not too shabby if you ask me. Of course, now I can make the F and M variants respectfully and in good order. I'm gonna have me some fun come Tuesday.

... and I think it will be like this forever, month after month, as it always has been, and just as balance will always remain a pipe dream.
It's curious, and disappointing, to see mwo as a game that constantly revisits such basic elements (forcing you to update your mech builds, even multiple times in a short time) in search of a sort of balance that will never happen because there will always be meta builds, as well as pro-top players (who rejoice) and ordinary mortals (who cry): it's normal because that's how it goes in any multiplayer game.
It's NOT normal, however, in MechWarrior, to resort to certain stratagems, such as the heat scale, the loadout system for certain weapons, quirks (with the horrendous constraint of decisive advantages that greatly push the equipment to be used, at the expense of a freedom that would likely make the same build on a given mech less frequent), etc., to try to create a balance that will never exist.
Let me be clear, this is my opinion, the opinion of a disappointed MechWarrior fan, probably disappointed like many others.
I respect those who still manage to have fun after seeing and experiencing so many patches, seriously, and I'm aware that obviously many will call me a mere mortal (who complains): well, who can blame them?
Sorry for the outburst, but it's entirely understandable.
Anyway, after 12 years, I've finally found the strenght to (reluctantly) abandon this world to discover new... frontiers... hoping to see a new, simple (without countless and fanciful rules) and faithful mwo rise from the ashes of this phoenix.
Best regards, hoping they can help us find the true MechWarrior gaming experience again.

Fighting in mech (that you found in garbage, repair and construct) and won in near impossible fight - that's pleasure. Not stupid farming.
That's why they leaving.

Agree 100% with all of this. At the very least, the Wolverine decal needs to be completed with color.
Also, maybe add the new Wolverine mechs seen in Betrayal of Ideals like the Pulverizer, Stag, and Mercury II.

I'd certainly pay for those mech packs.
Heck, maybe MWO should even have a Wolverine/Minnesota tribe event. At least that would be different and fun.
