There formal title is McKinnon's Raiders, Vanur's Battalion, 7th Crucis Lancers.

I'd have to say the 10th Lyran Guards aka The Remnants. Hey, how can one not like the unit with the Current First Prince in it.

Hate to tell you this, but the Tenth in 3048 is known as "Thundering Elephants", and the current First Prince is Hanse Davion, Victor is still in school on Thakard. Once he is done with School in early 3049 he will ship out to join the 12th Donegal Guards on Trellwan (Trell 1).
