Honestly, who likes being the dirty, backstabbing, chemical weapon using scumbags of battle tech? You're almost as bad as House Kurita, the only difference is Kurita is a little more genocidal, and a lot more successful.

I understand Davion having way more people than House Steiner, but you guys? Seriously?

Also, Why choose House Steiner? Are you using teh biggest mechs around to compensate for "you know what"?
And you act as paper plates for Davions. Use once (take all the money) and then throw it into trash.

Posts and replies are a pretty good indicator of how large each house is. Also, we use assault and heavy mechs because there are no other mechs, only mech parts with legs.

House Steiner has the biggest population of Scottish descendants and Germans. Hell, the unit I belong to is the Fourth Skye Rangers, that's a unit by the name of "Albion" aka Britain.

Maybe not for Sun Tzu Liao, but definitely for Kai Allard-Liao. Not to mention if the Pillager Battlemech gets to make an appearance later on, would be absolutely amazing mech to try out as well as the lighter Cossack. Warrior Houses are pretty cool, and the Russian/Chinese dichotomy was an interesting story plug as to why Liao would be known as the least popular House. Hopefully the Liao civil war gets a special plug along with the Fedcom Civil war, and the Ghost Bear/DCMS conflict. Overall, Liao is a very interesting faction, though once these kinds of games get big in Russia and China, it would be far more competitive.

Take a look at your own people: You use assault mechs for scouting missions just to show of your wealth, your social generals value their paycheck and their fame higher than the men who serve beneath them and you're even so low that you willingly form an alliance with Davion. All the capellan people do is defend their homes against Davion oppression. We are solemnly acting in self defense against the hostile powers which surround us, thoose who desire to invade our planets, enslave our people and destroy our culture. You should also remember that the Ares Convention was originally proposed by Aleisha Liao.

Why should you join House Liao? Well, the chinese/russian/scottish culture mix aside, we are a house that values unity. Unlike other houses, money, personal freedom and personal honor are secondary to us. We might not be as rich as Steiner, as honorable as Kurita, as democratic as Marik or as invading as Davion, but we hold together no matter what is thrown at us. That, and we have a knack for electronics.)

there are many more examples of madman tainting a nation's name.
but the capellean confederation, its ideology at the level of the citizenry is what I agree with. that worth is not defined by one's birth, nor how fat their pocket books are; but rather their contribution to the state.  
where as the Lyan commonwealth, status is given by people's pocket books while the Fed suns live under shadows of the 1st prince. I for one can not be a mere slave to wealth or royalty. edit: and sidenote: I know Scottish people who will snap at you if you call them British.</p>
