As some universe-lovers might have thought about...it's not easy carrying fuel for a horde of gas-gulping armored vehicles around everywhere you go. So, how do you get around that?

Make your own.

The Navy just managed to make honest to goodness hydrocarbon-based fuel out of seawater, using the dissolved CO2 plus hydrogen liberated from same.

Of course it takes energy to make the stuff...but we're talking an era where nuclear engines are the spacecraft power of choice, so your DropShip can also be your gas pump!
