I for one welcome the expansion of our orbital power plants. It is a great assistance for the community. More power to the people.
Of course, this technology will not be repurposed for military use.

Well, Capella is now one bad day away from having thousands of crispy citizens lying dead in the streets. I like cheap energy as much as the next person, and I don't even have anything against microwave power transmission from orbital platforms. But don't you think that putting the ground station in the middle of a city of millions might be a little risky? Would you put a nuclear fission reactor in the same place? Frankly, this goes beyond tempting fate, this outright taunting it. All it would take is one disgruntled technician with something to prove, and a lot of people would have the worst sunburns in the Inner Sphere. If such a thing happens, let's hope Romano Liao is one of them.
