For the price I should at least get a single player campaign!

Nobody is forcing you to pay anything.
The founders packs are for those who wish to support the development of this game.

One the game goes live you dont have to pay anything for he game.
You dont have to pay for the client to play, that is free.
You dont have to pay any monthly sub, there are none.

The game is totally free to play so if you dont want to pay then you dont have to, you can still play and experience absolutely everything in the game.

Very true, no one has to pay... but I don't think any game will live long without support. The game wants more players, it needs to garner to more customers. If no one ever gives them money, they won't have any employees and hence no product, the more money people give them, the more they can put into this project. Don't discourage people if you really want this game to succeed, you should be saying somehting more like "If you can see past the current lack of singleplayer mode as just a beginning of a great game and donate to the cause called Mechwarrior Online then as time goes on the developers may see fit to add in a mode like this to satisfy the customer demand." So much more productive than half the rude elitist comments listed on this forum, much less this thread.... I'm afraid if this attitude turns about to be the norm, I won't stay nor support the game (because its the forum admins job to take care of it, yes if someone tells people to shutup and stop playing due to a suggestion, its your job moderator to remove that comment so you don't have a whole thread of drama....)

Are there any plans for non-PvP play in MechWarrior Online?
We’ve conceptualized it, but we are not including it at launch. We know it’s something fans have asked about but right now it’s not included and no details have been announced.

no PvE... yet... may never be, but at least from that quote, they haven't ruled it out completely...

If there are posts that need moderator attention I highly suggest you use the REPORT feature so that we may interveen. Due to the high volume of posts please do not assume that all posts are read by Admins or moderators. Using the REPORT feature gives the staff a heads up on possible issues and also allows us to take action.

Thank you for your help!

Cheers

I dont understand what it is you are unhappy with here.

I am not trying to create drama or discourage anyone from buying the founders pack

I was merely stating facts, I dont see where the drama you refer to are in that.

The issue in this case was that the poster was under the mistaken impression that the founders packs were a pre-order/pre-purchase, instead of something more like a Kickstarter investment.
My impression of his post was that he thought that he had to buy the game to play and was unwilling to pay for that, since there was no single player.

By stating some simple facts, I was trying to point out that you dont have to buy anything if you dont want to.

And then you quote me and start talking about something completely unrelated to my post, and call it drama.
If you cannot tell the difference between drama and the stating of simple facts, then I respectfully request that you refrain from replying, as you are more likely to create the very drama you so dislike by doing so.

yes rude responses to any questions are not good, just remember the only stupid question is the unasked one. Now i do think before you ask a question you might wont to have a bit of knolage of the game itself, The free to play thing was my first question as i was tired of paying for a game every month and even worse the game would get worse. I think the free to play thing is awsome and how they have it seat to get you to pay for things with real money if you like or you can grind and get it as for the solo play or coop if it happens how many do you realy think would play there on a regular bases mably some but most will be right here. It would be nice to see a bit different game setups then every shooter has but i think and this is just me not saying anyone else has to think this way it is very fun now and will be getting even better as time goes on this thing just got of the ground for the most part give them a chance to run with it
