And here we go again, ask your questions and I'll pick different, easier to answer ones instead!

Can you release which variants of the already-announced Battlemechs (Cataphract, Stalker, Trebuchet, Cicada, Raven) you plan to implement?

Hey Devs, Beta tester here.

I recently read a chat transcript of a certain Thomas Dziegielewski in the forum,
and I noticed a few comments he made didn't really seem to mesh with the
popular views in the beta forums.

My question is: Do you devs actually read the beta forums often? It seems like
we're posting for no one to read it sometimes.

Second question: Could we get a Q&A from the devs to be placed in the beta
forum? It would be a lot more helpful if we could go straight to you guys with
comments and such.

You never know. I started an unofficial Ask devs (Beta) and actually got some answers. Was never pinned though.

1.) What is the easiest question that may come to your mind and you are willing to answer?

2.) Will there be more Dev Blogs coming?

In terms of BattleMech customization, will MWO's MechLab (eventually?) allow one to split heavy weapons (namely the AC/20... and, eventually, the Ultra AC/20, LB 20-X, and the Heavy Gauss Rifle) across adjacent locations on a BattleMech's body (e.g. across the arm and corresponding torso (which is the case with the AC/20s on the King Crab), or across a side-torso and the center torso (which is the case with the AC/20 on the Axman))?

'Tis an ability that is allowed for specific weapons in the tabletop game (TechManual, pgs. 57 and 208) and is required to make certain 'Mechs/variants possible, but has yet (to the best of my knowledge) to be featured in any video game installment of the franchise...

There has been some forum discussion about the relative size of some 'Mechs, particularly the Centurion and the Dragon, compared to other 'Mechs in their weight class. The prevailing sentiment appears to be that both are too large in scale. In the case of the Dragon, the 'Mech appears closer in scale to the 80 ton Awesome than to the 65 ton Catapult. For the Centurion, the torso and arms seem to be set too wide, particularly when compared to the fantastic MWO concept art.

Is there any possibility that the size of these 'Mechs will be changed at some point in development, or should we consider the appearance of a 'Mech to be final once in-game?

Question 1: Is there a beercan holder in the cockpit of the hunchback
Question 2: Can we expect completely urban maps in the game(and i mean manhattan, not the docks and spaceports)
Question 3: can we get a picture of Garth playing MWO while wearing pink fluffy bunny slippers?

Simple question.

Will there be a complete musical soundtrack for MWO at release?

This, people, is what breaking NDA looks like.So I'm repeating my previous post.Could we get a Q&A from the devs to be placed in the betaforum? It would be really helpful.

According to the current economic system.

Will there given out a least ONE mech to every player?
Or as alternative a small amout of MC(maybe 5000) to buy a first mech?

Because to play the Trailmechs at least 250 matches to get finally the mech he want's is really a pain for each player.
Personally i mean the second variant would be much more better...easier to implement. And a small amount of MC for free is "baiting" as its nearly every F2P game has.

Screenshots/video of the Centurion are public, and it is clearly a different body shape than the concept art. Dragon is a bit iffier, but again, there are scores of screenshots and video of it in action

The scale isn't. You're not allowed to say anything about the game.

Looks like there's another dull tool in the shed.

The original estimated date for the open beta was the end of summer (September 23rd or 24th) however this seems unlikely. Can we get a new estimate (i.e. late October/early November)?

Every MechWarrior game I've played to this point has had a training mission/map to run you through piloting, reading the minimap, usind the HUD and all the other nitty-gritty of battling in your glorious death-machine. Will MWO have a similar feature available?

Actually, I believe he is correct. The NDA does state that you may not tell people that you are in the beta. Personally, I don't think it's a particularly egregious violation, but it is what it is.

There is no information in my question that cannot be gathered from screenshots, gameplay videos, and concept art on the website. I make no reference to any aspects of the 'Mechs that can only be learned within beta. I would direct your attention to the River City Reveal and Centurion videos, gameplay screenshots 11 and 21, and weekly screenshot 13.
