Steiner tax bills at work
We're capitalists, we don't tax our people into oblivion. If you want that, go to the Draconis Combine.
Besides, the Lyran people would be delighted to know their troops are by far the most stylish on the battlefield.

You are right there is actual a region in Germany that is called Saxony...but Saxons and Saxony have hardly any similarity.
The Saxons that raided the Britons were form the northern part of germany - Lower Saxony...Niedersachsen.
I don't know much about German History...but i believe that Karl the Great slaughtered a lot of Saxons during the Christianisation...thats why most of them fled to new shores.
The Normans...however were Danish folk...settled in the northern part of france and they pushed the Saxons out of Britan.
However whom i hate...think it is shorter to say what i don't hate.... I respect House Liao... and i'm a loyal servant of House Kelswa...so who oppose my Duke or Duchess even when his/her name is Steiner will put to the ground...as fast as i'm able to do it.

Actually, that does not mean it is not applicable. You are correct the Saxons did invade Britain, but they were never entirely pushed out by the Normans. There is a reason Americans of English descent, and pure blooded English are referred to as Anglo-Saxons. And in regards to Saxony itself, that region occupies a large part of what is modern day Northern Germany, so it is still quite applicable considering House Steiners German roots.
A good example of the ties because Saxon England and Saxon Germany would be the 1914 Christmas football match of World War I. When a German and English unit played football during the Christmas truce, both had Saxon ties, I can't remember the exact unit names, but that was one of the things that kept them from shooting each other. The truce between the two units continued long past the official resumption of hostilities across the front, fighting only broke out when the German unit was reassigned to the eastern front and replaced by a Prussian unit.
Nothing like the First World War to make you depressed. Tragic waste of Western life...
Sorry, I ramble I know.
