I know alot of people don't like MechAssault due to its unrealisticness. I don't either, but ever since I've used the Ragnarok I've been in love with the mech ITSELF ever since. The lava gun can be replaced with a rotary ac/5 or something. But somehow, someway, would it be possible to include this mech someday in the game? It is the coolest mech I've seen.

We've got hundreds of 'Mechs we can add - even if the Ragnarok is not added, surely there is a similar 'Mech you could use? I love the Nova, but I realise it's clan-only so I suffer verily and use similar(ish) Inner Sphere 'Mechs, like the Crab :)

The Ragnarok is an Assault 'Mech that was developed and used the Word Of Blake. Little to nothing is known about the 'Mech's development. What is known, however, is that the Word of Blake produced this 'Mech in the hundreds, maybe thousands, but most were destroyed when a JumpShip crashed into the production facility, making the Ragnarok a rare sight in the battlefield.

It is a 'mech not used in this time period or, really the Battletech universe. ( I don't consider anything MechAssualt related canon).

Lava gun? Really? Really?!?

Note: I didn't even bring up the *cough*

Afaik, the Raknarok doesn't even have a record sheet. How would it be balanced?

So, someone would need to go and build the Raknarok after the tabletop construction rules first.

Then, we could start discussing the ifs, whens and maybes.

Why do people keep asking about Mechs, and, Mech variants, that did not come out until after the Clans Invaded? Especially since the designers said the game was going to start at 3049.

Yes, which is why the Ragnarok isn't clan. :)

That, coupled with

It is notable for its "Lava Gun" mounted on its shoulder, a powerful weapon launching three-shot volleys of an unknown superheated material, and its LosTech energy shield, when activated makes the 'Mech nigh-invulnerable to all forms of damage for a few seconds at a time

sounds like someone tried by all means to write a parody of Battletech.
"It has a LASER PLASMA LAVA!GUN And... and.. shields! They built THOUSANDS of them! But then this huge jumship fell from the sky and directly on the factory!"

Kidding aside, there is just no need for such a... thing. The picture even looks exactly like a Thor/Nemesis mech, so if you just want a mech that looks like it, wait for the clans' arrival.

It's far worse than requesting a Clan mech. You might as well ask to include the Megazord from power rangers. At least that has a sword, though! Maybe if it's included that will push along melee combat faster... and the Hatchetman! This is my best idea to date! ZORDS FOR ALL!

In the spirit of being helpful, I'm trying to think of a good cannon mech that has a fair chance of making it into the game that comes with a load out similar to the Ragnarok... I'm not getting far... it's got... LRMs, Gauss Rifles, and... lava... lava gun... I just don't know what to do with that... Uhm... Well... it was short range high damage right? AC20! What has an AC20, 2 Gauss Rifles, and an obscene number of LRMs... hmm...

I wish the Crab was in. I meant TT wise for the time-period.

the crab is star league. whether or not you'd find it in the house militaries is another question. very, very rarely perhaps in mercenary companies, perhaps salvaged from comstar wreckage or found in star league caches that still remain unpicked. you could make a case for having one if you wanted, really. i doubt anyone would be upset at you.
