AOL MPBT was by far my favorite version of this or any game out there. Certainly not for the graphics or even the controls, but the community was great and I hope to get the same thing here! I dabbled in some of the other version, but I claim to be a MBTer from AOL days!

Long time waiting for its return. Was all hyped up in 09 thinking it was coming out...then waited then forgot about it...hope that never happens again.

I've been around it pretty much my entire life, my father played the table top. I didn't get into the mech stuff until I think Mech Commander 1. Played every mech video game since (not counting Mech Assault 2) and have a few hundred bucks worth of the Wizkids clicky base figures. Also I read the wiki just to learn lore sometimes, more and more as the launch of MWO is getting closer.

Since 1995 with Mechwarrior 3050 on SNES. Then got into Mech 2 and Mech 2 GBL on computer and have been hooked ever since. Have read every novel and have played many tabletop Battletech games.

I've played Mechwarrior since SNES came out with it. didn't get really into the game till MW2: Mercenaries. I skiped 3 and got 4. really enjoyed those titles. Also have played mechassault on xbox and the second one. So about 10-15 years of experince with the video games. Have never touched the table top version. My favorite title of the games I've played was MW4: Mercenaries, because the micro management was really fun and the missions felt like you were in it for the money. I still play MW4: Merc once in a while. I enjoyed the multiplayer aspec of the game was very fun(still would be if it didn't go down). Hopefully you get the same feeling out of this title as you would all the other cool versions of the game.

hmm being really old,(ish) i remeber going to the fantasy wargame shop in leicester to buy d&d rulebooks (1st edition), subsequenty runequest (you can hack bits off:) ) then battle tech, probably the original. early to mid 80's ,bought all the rulebooks and mech expansions, crescent hawks inception on commodore 64 (with small disc drive (cough)).then every other mech game, even the original pc 1(had to switch turbo off on the 486sx).played online as well.
looking fwd to the new version of mechwarrior .(world of tanks is gonna lose!)
also played eve online for about 8 years (2x top 300 characters)

I started Long ago, I think I still have the box set with the Plastic " Unseen Mechs " in it somewhere. Im sort of a pack rat... Still have all my hand painted leads, with game books and Maps.

As far a battletech/mechwarrior, I've played pretty much all of them, from the tabletop to Dark Age, and all the PC-Console games as well. Even did the Virtual World stuff when it was open near me.

I also have most of the paper back books as well.

So I am really in to Battletech / Mechwarrior.... ;)

Back when I first started playing Takashi Kurita and Janos Marik were the heads of their Houses...god Katrina (Katherine) wasn't even born yet.
