I tell you what, I've been paying massive stacks of c-bills after every match too.... Not too many matches where I survive. But is it that I'm getting worse or does everyone under 24 just have crazy 'from-the-womb' connection with a keyboard and mouse?

DHS, XL engine, FF armor etc... are all more expensive to repair and replenish than standard variant.
endo steel structure is the odd one in that it does not seems to increase the cost for the most part for maintenance on average in my test cases so far.

I got rid of FF armor and now only have slightly higher expenses at the repairs.

just got blasted with "auto repair" off. These are the numbers
repair cost of a 87% armor FF on my Cat: 55k
this, together with another 45k of 66% internals (probably mi XL engine) and the rest, makes... 99k.
With a captured enemy base, and no bonus at all (I got blasted before doing anything), I got about 119k, before premium and founder's mech bonuses. So, If it had been a normal Cat, it would have been a "yay, I made 20k". Because we won. With a captured base.
Being blasted in a lost match would have meant losing money (not counting bonuses, of course).
So, my advice: when buying special equipment, REMEMBER THE MAINTENANCE COST!
Wait for Clan Tech, guys, it should be fun. I don't think clan tech will be too popular. And if it makes you a prioritary target, even less. But hey, we're Inner Sphere. Struggling with money is what we do. And anyway, those who don't want to spend real money will be stuck with 4 mechs, so what would they spend their money on if not repairs?
I wouldn't want to know how expensive dropping in an Atlas with FF and a 300XL engine can get, but hey, you jump in a mech coated in gold, don't get surprised if it's expensive to repair when you get blasted.
I'll probably keep a mech or 2 with normal tech so I can actually make money, and the expensive mechs for important matches.
And, heh, if you get broke, you can always play a couple of rounds in a trial mech and recover yourself.

Even without upgraded tech people are claiming much larger repair and rearm costs.

Either its a bug or just a really ******* dumb idea of the developers but I equipped standard armor and I pay like 90 000 per match.
Thats so ********. I also send a ticket in but who knows what I will get as an answer.

It seems wrong that simple steel plates should cost this much to repair - expensive FF or something, sure, but standard armour should be fairly cheap. That's what you're HOPING will take the damage, after all. I can only imagine how painful it is for anything heavier than a Hunchback.

i tested mine on a catapult and can see a clear step between FF and regular armor.
My Catapult C1 have about 360-380 points of armor or so, i tested it with FF and regular...
with regular armor my armor repair bill is around 30-40K on average on destruction
with FF armor the armor repair bill shoots up to almost 70 to 80K on average when i am destroyed.
FF armor plus other expensive gears inside makes the repair bill well over 100K on destruction.

repair cost on an FF armored mech even when it's merely damaged on the armor is staggering...
