why do these threads keep getting locked.....THIS IS INFORMATION NEW PLAYERS NEED TO KNOW

Yes. teammates will push you infront of the enemy and block you from getting to cover(or stack up 4 mechs in a location where only 1 can reasonable be)
Yes. it's against the Code of conduct(can get you banned)
NO. PGI will do nothing to them and they will just keep doing it(ban the players that do it and you kill the game as a good 35% do it)

SO why does PGI take down the threads?

there are even serveral guides on here that TELL YOU TO DO IT!!!

Potatoes going to potate.

Maybe try not stopping at the end of a choke point.

Does it happen every match? Because if it doesn't, my advice would be to just shrug and move on.

Good hunting,

I haven't seen you play, so I can't really say if its your fault or not.

Its more than likely because potato and not malicious.

Some player ask team mate to go into enemy fire to snipe safely at long range and get a score....after that they say the team is bad when they found themselves lone in their ecm gyr. Seen that a lot..

But confused team dying at a choke point is natural selection of potatoes !

I will at times back up and hide behind a teammate because that is what sharing armor is. Also sometimes I round a corner or crest a hill and suddenly there are 7 enemy mechs and I try to back up because the alternative is to get 2 shots off before their group takes me out. I don't blame the people behind me for being in the way because they may not have visibility to what I see. While I do my best to give enough space for the person in front of me to retreat when needed I can't say I always do. I can't recall ever having anyone intentionally use their mech to ram mine into a position where I catch enemy fire. I'd be willing to bet it is inadvertent instead of malicious.

If you're going to take the lead and round a corner or crest or whatever. Don't be surprised when the people behind you are also rushing to do the same. It's a question of causing a traffic jam. How do you get a group of players to turn around quickly enough to let you get out of the line fire? Even if they were all on the same page they can't physically clear a path. Pay attention to your position and that of your team at all times. It's pug life.

Sigh ... Nope. It really is extremely simple.

That's what people should be doing. Not what they are doing. Half the people want to rambo the enemy, the other half have a 'follow the leader' mentality. What I'm telling the OP is to be aware of the potential for people to blindly follow behind you or desperately try to get at the enemy through you. In an ideal world the team would spread out laterally around the lead mech and focus fire. Nothing ideal about pug life. So you have to be as aware of what you're team is doing as what the enemy is doing.
