Hello Mechwarriors!

I would like to show you the results of our passion for the game by sharing with the entire community the "Mechwarrior Online Soundtrack Project".

I've developed 4 original soundtracks as a gift for PGI. My only desire is to verify the community feedback, and if it will be good, I can proceed ahead in the development of an entire Album.

Our goal is to have PGI sponsoring officially our music.

Here is the link: http://soundcloud.co...s/mech-warrior/

Land of Fire: A music very hard, thug, that will let you feel proud to drive an Atlas in the battlefield.

Falling: An epic orchestral music that describe the descent of the enemy force, try to imagine the beginning of the battle, where you march toward your fate!

The Forsaken: A soundscape very deep and techno, with Dub-Step influences. A travel in a deep glacial world (Frozen City night for example) where the steel of the mech rule the battlefield.
There is also a deep melody that let you rest your mind by looking at the aurora and the beautiful dark sky filled of stars.
At the end of this song there is a "tribute" to an old mechwarrior 2 soundtrack, restyled for you!

MENU: Just a deep soundscape mood that accompanies you in the menu and the mechlab

Eeeww...bad flashbacks to cheesy '80s synthpop. I'll pass, thank you very much.

I think I hear some of the Frozen Synapse soundtrack in The Forsaken.

Sounds really good, but for this project to work wouldn't that mean you'd have to get compensated by PGI in some way? Or they'll own the rights to it and such? I dunno how that stuff works, but I feel like PGI has to in some way incorporate this stuff legally.

On the other hand, if PGI wants to cut costs, they could implement an embedded radio feature that runs through our own personal playlist of music, or perhaps sync to online radio stations out there like Pandora or Live365 etc. etc.

To be honest though, I do miss the good old MechWarrior 2 soundtracks...

Hi Fall, I dont apply any cost to PGI. This is a Gift for the project to supporto the growth of the community. NO MUSIC will be charged to PGI. So because I'm the Author I "legally" provide the music to them.

(Yes I miss Mechwarrior 2 too, but if the community will support me, I can create a dedicated album to that sound mood)

Good on you. PGI needs any help they can get at this point though I would imagine that ultimately they would get to see what fits, thematically speaking.

I'm currently listening to the 3rd song and I like what I hear! I often play MWO with a Youtube playlist of the MW2 soundtrack in the background or just play my regular music playlists. That's some very good work and you really got the "Mech battling it out" feeleing right in your current songs, I would be looking forward to hear more of this if PGI decides to go along with it and to rush on the battlefield with songs like these.

Keep up the good work.

Av4T4R, you are very talented! "The Forsaken" reminds me a bit of the Transformers I soundtrack. Good stuff.

Very cool, had an idea to do something similar but was too hesitant to commit a whole project to this.

The OP, however, did. And the effort shows in the quality.

Not only are the vibes on point, but the production side of things is crisp and clean as well... nice!

Really digging it, keep up the good work man.
