Hey everyone! :D

Been searching the forums and I think I'm the first to get a perfect match! (Can someone help me figure out how to post the image please?, it's jpg and all I get when using image button is (C:Garrett..........), not the actual image., thanks)

Mech: Jenner JR7-K
Structure: Endo-Steel, Fibrous, XL 300, DHS, 1 HS, and almost full armor
Armament: 2 MLs, 2 SLs, 1 Streak SRM w/ 1 ton of ammo

My goal here for this post is: 1) To see if I really am the first w/ evidence to prove it. 2) Show that the Jenner can pump out serious damage when handled correctly 3) Show energy weapons are not bad, but in long games and handled correctly are amazing, 4) tooting my own horn a bit.

I am a Jenner pilot through and through. Just Maxed the basic and elite trees on all three Jenners (No MC used at all, I played trial Awesome to save up for my first mech and then used founders jenner last. I'm a mercenary of House Jurai, so please no invites to join you as I'm prtty used to running with those guys. If interested in joining us, www.nodachi.net our homepage. I run a mainly attack and scouting role Jenner, but play defense when our base is getting capped.

The Match: Public 7v8 (7 my way), 3 lights on each team though, on river woods map: My first 3 kills were all 1v1s with next to no help at all from my team. Jenner, Commando, then a dragon. Next two were 2v1s with myself doing about 40% overall, but 70% and higher critcal damage, 6th and 7th kills was triple teaming up on an Atlas and Awesome, I got around and tore through their RCT armor like paper (I think the Atlas had less than 10 pts back there because I hit internal red after one volley from full armor), the last kill was a steal. I was 400m away from the mech and let loose with my ML and somehow managed to do that last point or two of damage. Yes, it was a kill steal because 4 of my team members were already working it over and I hadn't done a single pt of damage till that one and final desperate shot.

If someone can tell me how to add a picture correctly I can show the proof when I edit this post, otherwise thanks for reading and any neutral or positive comments/remarks. The details below are just my strategy and tips I've used/found when running a Jenner.

Tips/Strategies/Tricks for running a Jenner:

Speed, speed, speed. This is your greatest weapon and defense. Do not stop moving, out of the gates I can normally make it to the left or right flanks of the enemy on any map and start either tearing into the back of a heavy or scouting their positions and movement to my team. If you run into another light mech, attack them with streaks and pull them into your own teams ranks and heavy mechs (lots of weaving and building turns while turning and firing at them will keep them on your heels... a lot of times I have to slow down for them.) When coming up against a streak cat or mech, if from behind, lay into that arm or weapon location until they start turning towards you... hopefully you can take that cat's arm off and decrease the weapon output by half. If from the front, just run and get out of there, dodge behind buildings and hill sides, but move as fast as possible away (streaks can follow, so don't try too much weaving for misses, but instead focus on distance. Almost every match I tend to work my way behind the main battle groups and will almost always choose that slow moving light who thinks they're safe inside the ranks of Assaults and Heavies than one of the bigger guys when going for back shots (one they have less armor and should be an easier kill, two they're probably the most dangerous thing to you (except for streaking cats), three if they target you later, then their who team can see and focus on you. Otherwise, hit the rearmost mech in the back CT and when they turn around start hitting every mech in the group with lasers, so that you grab their attention and hopefully disrupt their formation (this allows your team a little bit of slack, so that they can put some more damage in while the enemy focuses on you.) While two MLs and a SL slashing across the front of an Atlas or Awesome doesn't do a whole lot, it does grab their attention and eases up fire on your heavier teammates who now can bring the rain. If you pass by really close too to their front then you shouldn't have to worry about fire from them too much, unless a lucky guass or AC/20 hits you and I do mean luck as I'll take on a hunchy or Atlas carrying one any day for quite a while till I see their aim improving then I'll just leave :D. Final two points, save your teams base if it's coming underattack, most public games people just fight for kills or themselves and you can be that saving grace. Second, watch your heat, nothing easier to kill than a light who has come to a full stop.

Thanks for reading again, hopefully this convinces a few that any mech under the right pilot can be a game
