Hi,

We have noticed that if you run your ammo-weapons dry one match and have auto-rearm unchecked you do not need to reload. You start next match with 75% ammo in your mech anyway. It looks like you do not have to pay for this ammo. If you want to rearm manually it looks like you have to pay for all of the ammo. Both the first 75% and the rest. Usually when you run a lrm-boat you launch 4 - 5 tons of lrms. If you add another ton of ammo-capacity to your mech you basically do not have to pay for your ammo.

I think this is a feature to help people with no money to be able to run ammo dependent mechs even if they keep loosing matches and have high repair bills but in my opinion it should not include people that is making money if they do not run their boats dry every time.

Thanks for a fun (if not so polished yet) game !

That's a feature. They are doing it for some time, since ammo cost skyrocketed at some point in Closed Beta. You can either take that "gifted" 75% into battle or refill to 100%. If they didn't do it that way you'd have to pay that complete ton of ammo after using it... about 58K for a ton of Streak-Ammo would be pay-to-win

Hi,

I agree with the OP, this feature is exploitable. You can make an LRM boat and not pay for the ammunition.
Maybe the devs should change this "free ammo" to something like 25%, and lower the rearm costs.

(My idea is to handle the ammo like a complete system: containing unit + ammo transferring system + ammunition. And you only have to pay for the ammunition part when rearming).

Lh.

My understanding was that you only payed for re-arm for the final 25%.
