I like the new spread with the SSRMs, but I do not like that some of the missles are missing. If they can get the streaks to keep the spread damage, but have no missles miss the target I think they will be perfect.

The whole point of a Streak SRM is that they will always hit, but before the patch they almost always hit the CT, and that had to change. But the current implementation could use a little bit of a tweak.

Streaks did miss on occasion before the patch, and when they did, they all missed.

I'm not sure if they should always all hit, but at the very least wtih current changes the damage they do should be more consistant (the spread might turn full misses into partial hits).

There's still a lot of balance work to be done either way, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more changes depending on their analysis of the telemetry.

I agree... I know SSRM2s were "evil" to CTs before.. I used several variations of streak cats and use them on my Atlas as well.

I like the spread... but there are way too many missing the target.. I had one entire volley miss once.

Currently, they are working a lot more like a slow version of SRM2s. Chain fire and you are lucky to get a 50% hit ratio on a Heavy/Assault.

That said... they still tear the bejezuz out of light mechs (and Cicadas) due to the spread getting concentrated on a small surface area target.

I am ok with it partially, but at point blank I shouldn't watch both missiles shoot around a catapult. I wasn't moving and he was moving in a circle around me about 10 meters away. I had a lock and never lost it, when I shot one missile went around each side. That blew my mind at how ridiculous that was.

I would be alright with it if they shot out wider in the beginning of their flight path and then converged at a set location about 30+ meters away, but that isn't the case right now. They are very inaccurate at any point and I miss more with them than if I were to manually shoot SRMs.

I agree, SSRMs should always attempt to home in on their respective locked-on locations.

Streaks are still easy mode. Only 1.5 tons, ammo lasts forever, fire and forget, really, this weapon requires very little thinking. I think they are fine just as they are, and might still be a little too strong.

I was standing still yesterday popping streaks at a still standing Atlas. Occasionally streaks would veer off and miss entirely, not sure if I like this. Adds another 'random' element to the game, and personally I'm not a big fan of that.

You probably don't use them then, because they're worthless now.

I don't think they are worthless, just not quite where they should be. before the patch they were a little too strong, I was looking foreward to them hitting places other than CT. But seeing them miss is just wrong.
