Some pressing concerns I have about the current mechlab:

1) It would be super useful to have a more detailed preview of the mech I wish to buy. Specifically, the actual placement of hardpoints and critical space available. I've seen lots of people complaining about being dissatisfied with their purchase.
Being able to get a full refund if sold within a time limit would solve that issue as well.

2) Allow me to buy the empty mech shell. There are times when I no longer need to buy the full mech loadout, especially the engine and another batch of medium lasers e.g. when I already own two hunchbacks and only buying the third to unlock the exp bonus.

3) Owned item management - it would be nice to be able to conveniently list all the items I already own, engines, armor pieces, heatsinks, guns and ammo. It would be even better if I could sell them off straight from the warehouse without having to put them on the mech.

4) Allow some sort of test drive mode which would be a small, simple level filled with some basic obstacles and a few stationary targets to practice aim and controls for new players.

and: let me rotate the mech in the loadout view - that way i can see and identify own and opponents mechs back/side hitting zones. I see no practical possibility as of today to learn about that.

An improvement to the mechlab that I would love to see is the ability to rearrange the order in which your mechs are displayed.even the simplest sorting system (weight) that groups mechs together would be good. An even better system would be maybe 2 tiered and let you select a Light garage where only your lights are displayed.

FFS give us a "Equipment Inventory" tab or something so I can review/sell stuff without it taking 10 minutes to find.

Hear him! I couldnt agree more.

There seems to ne no way in the game to sufficiently admire the mechs I own or those I wish to select for battle.
At least the mech lab definitly needs the possibiliy to rototate the view freely around the mech, especially as there is no third person view to do it in game.

This needs to be amended asap!

As stated in another thread on the topic created within 24 hours:

3D 360 degree rotational model in mechbay; YES! Make it easier to section select the thing, at any rate.

a single player "proving ground" for testing mech designs. No more dropping into a hot cobat zone with a potencial waste of a mech!

I'd like to see that blown up into a full blown training/practice ground for 1v1 where you could help friends learn to play or challenge them to 1 on 1 combat as well. . be REALLY nice. . just call it a mech sim and remove the repair/rearm costs. . and no payout for a win.
