I'm familiar with the mech lab but I don't know how to get the camo customization to work. When I open the camo spec tab I get two choices in visual customization nether seem to work. I've seen people on the battlefield with custom skins and in spectator mode I see the bobbleheads. So what am I missing.

The Coconut Monkey and the red mech skin were from a PC gamer last month as a promo and the Fairy was an nVidia promo item. I think they'll be adding more cammo and bobbleheads this month which will be open to everyone.

FYI - You can still get the skins if you want either via an Apple device (or anyone that sells PC magazine) or going out to a retailer and buying it. They might not stock it anymore, though. Here's a little help:

1.) Download the PCMagazine "app" from Apple Newstand. There's no "search" bar on the Newstand, which is stupid, but if you just open up the Apps and search PC Magazine from there it should be the first thing to pop up. Download it.

2.) Open up the app and download the October issue. It costs $8.99.

3.) Go to page 98 and on the right it will give instructions on how to redeem the code.

4.) Once you've been emailed your code go to www.mwomercs.com/pcgamer

5.) Log in to your account and then enter the code in the box.

My question now is: How do I use the skin? Can I use it on trial mechs? I'm pretty close to getting my own Hunchback but I'm curious if I can put it on these trials?

Both are "items" so you can use each once.
You can move the items between mechs any time you want for free.
They are two different items, so the skin can be on one mech and the bobblehead in the other.

Note:
Some mechs already have unique skins, you can not use a custom skin on these at this time.

I like the skin myself but havent managed to get it yet. Afraid I wont pay 9$ for a color change.

While the issue became available in October, technically it's the December 2012 issue. (US edition) Magazine publishers are crazy that way.

Thanks for the help I've got the PC Gamer promo and the NVIDIA promo. Pretty easy, I was thinking I was to late to get it without paying the 8 bucks for the magazine. Thanks again for the help.

I can see colours, and cockpit bobbleheads, but no camos or decals (not including the pc gamer skin). Anyone else getting this?

Go to Mechlab\Camo spec\Special you should see the PC gamer skin in there. It might be to late but I hope it helps.
