i have a average xp per game statistic of around 544.41 from the stats page . can this stat on its own give an indication of just how good or bad a player i am ? is my 544 considered high or low? whaddaya got ?

No, it can't give an indication of how good or bad of a player you are as an individual. No single statistic can. Not only that, but your statistics only reflect how you perform against other players in your approximate Elo range. My average XP is 689.13.

Unfortunately, it doesn't, because of stuff like premium and how xp gain has been changed over the course of the game's lifetime.
