Following on from my LRM and Streak Cat videos I have added a new one to me MWO playlist, this time it covers the K2 Gauss Cat.

It's a work in progress but so far the results have been very impressive.

i hate Gausscats......And streakpults..........
IMO they ruin the game :/

BUT
i like your videos. You say the info in detail, without causing people an headache.

If you ever feel like doing another K2 video. Try my K2 build=
210 standard engine
12 DHS
Endos stahl
2xAC/10 with 6 tonnes of ammo (90 shots)
4x Medium lasers

Looks good, I may revert to this build and do a video after the Gauss nerf that will be coming :)

Am going to do one on my Founders cat next, it has a very strange build but does it's job well.

Ha, I'm actually uploading a video on a gaussapult build as I write this. I think we come to similar conclusions.

Not really an efficient build, but it's still good because, you know, it's gauss. There are some gausskittens out there much better.

You know the rules, if you slag off a build you need to explain why, so please show me a more efficient build as I will change if I am in agreement.

I run my gauss cat with a 255 XL engine giving me the top speed of 69 (includes elite perk). I also have 80 ammo and no AMS. The gauss cat is like the ninja of mechs, you want the enemies to feel you but not see you. The AMS for example reveals your location with its fire (as it fires all missiles, not just the ones directed at you) and it turns attention to you and you don't want any attention as you are a ninja. The movement speed is perhaps just a personal preference, but I like it that I can quickly move from position to position as the gauss cat does rely on good position and aim to be effective.

At 6.15 you're way too exited about legging a trial cicada.

Another great Geordie commentary. Some beaut shots if you are playing from the UK. If we are talking about optomizing a mech to the full though I would recomend looking up that graphs math sheets and checking what engine to run with. :P

This is why Gauss Cannons should cost 25 million C-bills a piece...

Interesting, I may have a closer look at this, never really thought about AMS giving my position away.

Your XL engine only takes up 6 slots, while mine is showing 12--thus, I can't put any XL engine on my Cat.

Xl engines take 6 slots in the center torso and 3 slots in each side torso. You gain tonnage but need more space in the side torsos and bare the risk that you can get cored even if only one of your side torsos is removed.

Catapults are good for xl because the side torsos are hard to hit unlike a cent or hunchback.
