Was in my Commando running interference when this Raven came out of no where.

Twin SSRM 2 and MPL, stayed on my tail and tore me up so quickly.
Was rather impressed.

Anyone have any good Scout Hunter configs?

My centurian has 4 MLs, 2 SSRMs and runs at 84 km/h. Lights just die.

A Jenner can have 2 streaks and 4 lasers. That ruins any scout's day.

JR7-D with 2xSSRM, 1ton ammo, 4xSLAS, Endo, FF, 300XL, DHS, max armor except head. I just started running this a couple days ago and it rocks. I spent the evening running with another Jenner pilot from my Corp who showed me the ropes. We tore down light mech after light mech and at least one mech per weight class.

Commando 3xSSRM2 and a Medium laser is a reliable scout hunter.

Any Cicada can be built to be a good scout hunter if you downgrade the Engine to fit more Armor and Heatsinks. A speed at around 95-100 Kph is enough to chase them around buildings and hillsides while you retain superior armor and heat efficiency.

Hmm Streak seems to be the way to go!

Looking forward of heading home and configuring a Scout Hunter.

Hoping to dedicating myself as a hunter while playing PUGs.

Besides spotting what has the Raven been useful for?

Cicada-2B with 4 MPL on her arms can shut down any scout, due to her extreme speed and turning rate, but requires XL engine in order to install armor and enough heat-sinks to survive heavier mechs fire and keep the damage going.

The stock centurion cn9-d is an amazing scout hunter. Runs 97mph'ish. Has a lbx10 autocannon which makes it much easier to hit a light.

Was that Raven me? My main mech right now is a Raven 3L with 3xMPLs and 2xSSRM2s going 140kph and tearing through scouts. And sometimes heavies/assaults. Few people expect a Raven to be such a killer.

Anything with streaks, really. Toss in few lasers to finish the job and you're golden.

I would go for anything that can mount Streaks and medium pulse lasers.

Haha I wonder if it was, your name is familiar.

You know, calling on my lancemate to chase you off my back haha.
I was just ripped apart trying to escape.

But again impressed how efficient it was.

Sort inspired setting my Dragon 1N up with 2x MPL and 2x SSRM.

Great for lights and picking of torsos from targets disarming them.

I had only started to consider more weaponry geared towards lights since matches now consist of 3-4+ lights.
Nightmare Mode in my Atlas.

Can not wait for collisions to return.

Oh well I took pain to top all three jenners to basic and now run fully ellite jr-f with xl300 double hs upgraded structure and armour with elite speed tweak she goes 149.5 kmh and can still bear 5 medium lasers almost fully armoured. Heat ef. is not perfect - like 1.21, so depending on map I fire 5-on-backspace with ocasional alphas when i see a good angle and opportunity to deal full damage. If you shoot accurately though taking time and manoeuvring for a shot you can shoot alpha almost non-stop.

She
is
beautiful

Finally getting kd ratio up.

I would rather not meet double streak that is as heavily topped as mine but any other scout, cicadas and heavies and even atlases are no problem if you know how to approach them. Streak cat is a no-no if you can't eat it's back armour in several alpha volleys. But crist, this evening i did two or three 5-kills matches almost in a row and on average do I do kill something in every match, often more than once. Got Kd from 0,26 to 0.8 in couple of evenings.
Thinking heavily now on buying back -k and -d jrs to top the trio to master. -k is a pain in a tooth though. Can only guess that 4 ml with lmr-probe would work fine but it needs a pre-made with couple of lmr boats. Other than that she is a completely useless modification.

More important than your build is your ability to predict the scout's movement and hammer them at the moment when they zip out of cover. Streaks are good but you need to have a backup like an lb-x or mpluse. Any jenner pilot worth his salt will shake off the lock after 1-2 volleys.

Centurion AL:
255XL (incl. speed perk ~90kph) sidenote: 255XL has the same weight like the 250XL of 11.5t
Endo Steel
DHS
maxed armor except legs (30) and the left 'shield' arm (24)

2x LL (RA)
2X MPL (CT)
2x SSRM2 (LT) (2t / RL&LL)

Does the job of hunting scouts pretty easy and is a good sniper and a powerful brawler as well.

As an Atlas pilot i feel very safe when my friend in StreakCat is around. Exelent protection from Jenners chewing my back armor. It can't of course actively chase scouts but is good for not letting them kill your teammates

My scout hunter build is a Commando 2D with three streaks, a TAG, armour maxed out everywhere and a 180XL engine. I carry 3 tons of ammo, and have never run out.

The TAG helps you get and keep the lock with your streaks, and if you have any missile boats worth their salt on your team, will bring down much more pain than you could ever deal out alone.

(In general, I feel that with the recent LRM nerf, those still playing missile boats are more dedicated, and as such know the value of TAG/NARC. So it's more useful to carry one when pugging)
