MWO devs and or PGI,

I’ve heard from podcasts and whatnot that there is a very vocal minority that scream about the issue of the day and that they want their money back. I’m posting today to say that I do not want my money back. For the $30 I paid for a Founders Package back in September I believe I have already gotten my money’s worth. I’ve had hours of fun and have made many new friends.

It did not start off so nicely. Between system killing freezes and getting pug stomped the game could be downright frustrating. At the recommendation of a friend we decided to join a House’s team speak server and with a group of 8 proceeded to win the next 9 matches in a row. I made more CBills in an hour than most days. The focused fire, coordination, covering fire; everything I was looking for.

Since then I’ve been looking for all the MWO info I can find. From release notes to podcasts (No Guts No Galaxy) my thirst for info is endless. Even when a patch comes out and skews the balance I hang on every post to see which builds are in and which are out. The entertainment from this game goes far beyond sitting in the cockpit.

Thank you for creating this game and please, take my money, you’ve earned it.

YEAH! WHAT HE SAID!!!!
AND IF YOU KEEP THIS UP, I WILL DEFINITELY KEEP GIVING YOU MY MONEY!!!

SO THERE!!!!

120 dollars.
That's what you paid for legendary.

Yes now I remember. I should have just bought the Wang and some MC if I really wanted to analyze the pros/cons, because I'm not very fond of any of the founders mechs ... but as I said whatever. I bought SWTOR and Warhammer Online and both of those game combined gave me less than MWO while costing more :P

I got ToR and some other legendarily bad games. That's why I waited so long before I put cash down for this, even going so far as to research what they were going to do, and only after I'd read their pillars, mission statements, no 3rd person ever, tactical, cooperative shooter/sim...did I feel confident in it.

They've begun stripping these things.

I wouldn't make the claim 'so few' when we have 500 regulars on the forum, yet almost 2000 have voted 'no to 3rd person.'

Yes, Vassago, but interestingly, most of those 2000 are not the same as the dozen or so that do the majority of the hollering, namely about how unfair it is for Premades to use teamwork, and how this game needs to be designed around the PUG, How LRMs are OP how now they aren't P enough, buff this, nerf that, yadda yadda yadda.

From what I have seen most of those 2000 are Founders who have gone out of their way to support and promote this game and community, as opposed to the entitled doomsayers/crybabies who thinking everything should just be handed them, and that they should have a majority voice when they do nothing to actually support the game.

I have spent the 120 for the founders and another 60 since, and have no qualms, or should say HAD, no qualms, until the last month or so. Since tethe sudden push to OBT, it seems one poorly thought out idea after another has been launched. I am forced to assume that it is the will of the Publisher, and can only HOPE that common sense wins out.

That said, 3rd person will likely be the deal breaker, and the push that leads me to cut my losses and leave.
