Problems with the CASE system protecting the ammunition bins resulted in the auto-eject triggering when the torso armor was struck in a certain manner. DCMS MechWarriors found themselves rocketing above the battlefield, often at the most inopportune moments, and ultimately took to disabling the auto-eject.

Seriously can we have this one, please?

Honestly, I was looking for Japanese-themed mechs and was wondering what the best-known of our current time were? Any outstanding performers worth adding to the game? Katana? Hatamoto-chi? Some more maybe?

I would love an under-performing Mauler with a deathtrap ejection seat! But really, we just gotta wait till after the Clan invasion for decent Kurita themed mechs.

Have you had a look through Sarna.net's list of Draconis Combine BattleMechs?

The Panther (35 tons) is cited as "one of the 'Mechs that is most iconic of the Draconis Combine".

The Lancelot (60 tons) was produced in the Draconis Combine following the Second Succession War, embodies the DCMS's seeming preference for energy weapons, and "was one of the few designs to remain in almost continuous production throughout most of the Succession Wars".

The Hatamoto-Chi (80 tons) very much looks the part of "samurai-themed combat mecha", "was the first post-Succession Wars DCMS BattleMech constructed utilizing recovered LosTech", and "sent the combined Armed Forces of the Federated Commonwealth into confusion during the War of 3039 and earned the design its place as the light assault 'Mech of choice in the Combine military".

Also, the Jenner and Dragon are already in-game.

Would be great if the devs made the Hatamoto-Chi a faction mech when factions are implemented.

In other words, a year away a best.

I don't think the Panther would be a big seller. Slow speed and a underpowered PPC make it a prime target.

Well there's this and this :( O.K. maybe not what you're intending.

Given the refined Daboku, the Mauler, is one of the most common brand new rather than upgrade NewTech DCMS 'Mechs when the invasion hits, and the fact its known from the cartoon as well as having a nice and distinct visual look means its a IMO it'll appear soonish

Actually, the Mauler would have just started production; there aren't very many of them, and it is most certainly not "common".

The cartoon made a mistake in making the Mauler seem more common than it canonically was, and the Daboku was a (somewhat half-hearted, frankly) attempt to retcon a similar 'Mech into the BT universe to explain its appearance in the show.
