Yes. Even with the lack of details in what mech you were driving and what mech(s) were firing at you.

I've done it once or twice with a triple LBX-10 to the face. Center armor was nowhere near gone enough for me to fully penetrate.

In my 600 or more games I have one shoted a Commando and a Cicada. So it is pretty rare.

Happened to me in my Raven-3L. I had just upped the armor to 7.4 tons and was sprinting right across the front of a K2. He fired what I'm pretty sure was a AC20 (maybe 2 AC20s) and destroyed my left torso and left arm in one shot and I died.

So yeah, it's possible.

Did it once with a Cat A1 SRM4s
Also, head shotted with a quad ERPPC mech.

My commando has been annihilated by srms volley once as well.

I get one-shotted in my commandos sometimes. It's not unheard of for that dual gauss to actually hit your head when you're breezing around at lagshielded speeds.

I've been one shot three times in my Commando 2D, all three times by Catapults putting massive artillery weapons in their torsos.

Not sure. I think 2 can do it, but maybe often one of the two misses. Hard to say, maybe it takes 3 *shrug*.

Yes...you can get them with Quad or more PPC mechs, ive seen that a few times... Its not a real viable build though, since you are likely shut redlined or shutdown for awhile.

Mech's typically mount 18 points armor on thier head (18 max for all mechs) and there are 15 points of internals in your head as well. If you take 34 points of damage directly to your head it will pop. There are several different weapon configs that can do this, many other posters here have listed some of them.

Heads have 18 armor (when full) and 15 health, so you will frequently survive dual Gauss to the head. I typically equip quad PPC for my 1-shotting expeditions, and aim for Light Mechs' backs and side torsos... but the Jenner, Catapult, and Cicada heads are prime targets for decap.
