I blame you for not realizing that one does not simply walk into Mordor.

I blame you for the Imperium of Mans call centers being down and the messaging system offline when the Hobbits came calling. The fees they incurred attempting communication were substantial. Why, they even put up seven months of Porridge and fruits!

I blame you for not hiring a great eagle to carry Frodo to Mount Doom. The movie could have been over in 20 minutes.

I've read pretty much all of Tolkien's stuff, including the Silmarillion. I therefore blame you for not realizing that How It Should Have Ended (HISHE) solved all the problems with the movies and even a few from the books:

I blame you for not having Gandalf take the ring then have the Eagle Lord that owed him a life debt fly him over Mount Doom to drop in the ring.

Movie could have been over in 20 minutes.

There. How's that then.

I blame you for mistaking the author of the Nerd Bible as J.R.R. Tolkien, when everybody knows it was William Gibson.

I blame you for not fact checking your argument close enough and not realizing that several of Gibson's works have made the New York Times bestseller list.

Now don't make me haul out Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. They're just waiting in the wings. Everybody knows it's got to be Sci-Fi and not Fantasy to be a TRUE nerd.

I blame you for not knowing that Tolkien is actually a creation of Wintermute and therefore Gibson wins regardless of accolades and acknowledgments.

I blame you for forgetting the works of Robert Heinlein. The first Grandmaster of Science Fiction Writers. The man whose prose became recognized words and concepts in the English language (grok, pay it forward, TANSTAAFL, space marine).

ALL HAIL THE KING!!! AUTHOR OF THE NERD BIBLE!!!!

I blame you for pointing out I had forgotten Tesla, but presuming that I don't know who he was or what his contributions to the world are.

I did a term paper on him in college and I've even visited the old Wardenclyffe site in Shoreham, NY, and I stayed 1 night in room 3327 of the New Yorker hotel where he died.

I am willing to acquiesce that Tesla is certainly King of the Nerds. Anybody, who electricity loved that much, is certainly royalty.

I blame you for thinking Nerds need bulk recognition or fame to claim the throne.
