I don't know what the heck is going on but the game is slowing down to a point where it is now totally unplayable, ealier it was running perfectly and I was having a lot of fun, now the second I get in game I'm getting very very low frame rate and the controls are lagging like crazy. It is now completely unplayable. Anyone else having this happen?

I think your experiencing the 4fps bug that many other people are having. What kind of computer are you running this on? Also did this start happening randomly or did it happen after the most recent patch? Have you checked your settings to see if they were somehow reset to a higher setting then you normally play? Also make sure v-sync is turned off.

I'm running my own custom pc, this started completely randomly, I only just started plaything this game yesterday, from the start I maxed the settings and had zero problems until now. Just turned off v-sync will see if that helps out.

Now its running even worse, screen is flashing back and forth between black screen and the interior of the cockpit with no textures and a solid green field outsode of it.

For the moment, you'll just have to restart the game when it happens. Or after every 4-5 games to prevent it from happening in the first place.

Im having a similar issue. Ill be playing a match and pretty quickly in the framerate drops superlow. After that the next match is black screen but i still get audio. I exit outta the game and works fine for another 6-10 matches then happens again. Over all im getting pretty poor frame rate but i keep hearing things about them implementing dx11 or something like that. We will have to see what happens in the future

It is the FPS bug, usually the match before it gets bad, you will have a bad stutter or two, this is when you need to restart your client because the next match is usually when you get full slowdown. They are aware of it and are working on a fix is what I was told.

I had this issue also. it was often preceded the match before by a graphics freeze (ati catalyst resets the card into software mode or something I believe).
Discovered after trying 23846234 solutions that it was a power issue. I was using a
2*4 pin molex-6 pin pci-e power adapter for the card, but had plugged both 4 pins into plugs on the same cable from the PSU. stopped happening when I moved 1 end to another cable.
I'm guessing each cable is limited to 60w as a safety measure in the PSU and the 6 pin is supposed to draw up to 75W
probably not helpful to many, but i'd guess this has to do with some hardware accelerated functions,
which I my case were being turned off by the gpu reset.
try changing some of those settings, or if you are getting freezes like I was check your power config
or try underclocking your card for more stability.

In case it helps, this is definitely a known issue and should hopefully be fixed soon. Here is some data on the possible core reasoning behind this (being a GPU memory leak).

a similar issue, when I launch MWO the game plays fine the first 2 matches, then on the match 3 or 4 it slows down to about 2-3 seconds a frame (yes I do mean seconds a frame not frames a second), the only option is to quit out then restart, this has happened 5 times today, after applying 3 patches (first play in 2 weeks) but I have not noticed it previously, after the first time I turned the settings down to minimum figuring my graphics card was struggling, but I can usually play on high graphics at an acceptable FPS.
My PC specs are:
CPU AMD Athalon II X3 475
Motherboard ASUS M3N78 SE
RAM 4GB ddr2
GPU ATI Radeon 4850
OS XP Professional SP3
