Founders members took a risk with their money much earlier in the game where there was limited features. There was no certainty for the game's future at that point.
After many months of testing, dealing with spec changes and at least 3 resets of all gains the game was moved to open beta where the public could download and play the game for free.
Yes, there is a bit of a grind for non-founders but that is a small % of time that most founders have put into the game (with resets). Remember that at most the Founders have access to 4 selected mechs. If they want to try different variants they too will have to pay for premium tiime - whether by putting more money into the game or using the MCs they were given as part of the Founders package they bought to help invest in a game most had been waiting for for many years.
I am not ashamed to state that I think that us Founders do deserve something for our effort, perserverance and faith in the game.
