You don't understand. Regardless of skill, the Raven was inferior in every way. Worse top speed, worse hardpoints, lack of elbow joints, high profile, lack of jump jets... the list goes on.

Sometimes the community is right, and defending the underpowered as balanced only perpetuates game imbalance.

I'm not disagreeing with you that there was an imbalance. ;) I'm saying that often the perception of imbalance gets exaggerated too much so you wind up with these FOTM situations where "anybody who's anybody picks X, and if you picks Y you're obviously a noob and you will lose every time."

No poll option for this so:

Any commando, Raven, Atlas, Or cicada that does not have ECM installed.

The problem the awesome has is that it gets matched against an atlas, which at least to me seems more dangerous

As a Hunchback pilot I'm loving the lack of votes for Hunchbacks ;)

Cents are so bad, I use them like Dan Hibiki. It seems I'm not the only one who does this.

This.

Though I voted Awesome.

Maybe it's a testament to my skill but I can smoke people with the Cent. With any non-LRM boat Awesome, all I do is soak damage as the faster mechs swarm me. Every time I go against an Awesome with some decent firepower of my own, I can almost stand still in front of it and core it faster than it can strip my armor. It's a giant barn on legs and you can hit it from a mile off. Doesn't help its reputation that a lot of terrible pilots use it. PUGs in trial Awesomes are also the most amusing PUGs to go up against, and the worst to have on your team.

Difficult choice for me. I eventually settled for the Awesome, because it isn't.

The dragon? seriously? I average around 500 dmg a match in my 5N, hell when it was right off the assembly line, with minimal modifications i could easily do 200-300 a match. I will admit that i think the dragon is more of a jack of all trades type mech than a focused one. Most of the builds i've made usually have long range and short range firepower on them due to limited space and how the hardpoints are usually stacked in one spot rather than spread out like in a phract or a catapult. I would like to see maybe the dragon get more slots in it's CT than any other mech, seriously, you can practically house a Jenner in that giant nose and yet it gets the exact same number of critical slots as everyone else.

(that being said, when the vulture comes out my dragons gonna be put out to pasture XD)

A fast awesome can be deadly. Also very fun to pilot. My favourite mech I must say.

Crappiest mech must be the one that I don't fear at all so Hunchbacks.

I don't see why the top Raven (others are total crap) is even close to being crappy it has an xl295, with 3 med laser (pulse) and 2 srmsteak, with ecm. Totally compares with the Jenners!

Old topic, but Awesome is not the Atlas, so voted on the Awesome. Might see some better play when BV-based matchmaking comes (if it does)

You need to include the variant for this to work.

CPLT-A1 is the worst mech in a match with ECM.

I'm surprised there are so many terrible pilots who think Commandos and Ravens are bad mechs.

Really surprised the Dragon is so high -or maybe not, given that it's a hard mech to build and pilot well and requires a very thorough understanding of its strengths and weaknesses, moreso than a lot of the other mechs. When used properly though it's an effective (and really fun) mech. It's not a brawler or a missile boat though and sometimes I get the feeling a lot of people don't know how to handle a mech that isn't either of those. Traditional "Tank" and "DPS" roles don't always fit well in this game. That's not the fault of the mech.

A1 is the one that can fit 6x srm6 right? Its a murder machine and the only mech I consider horrid op.
I got one and it just destroys everything. As long as you don't rearm and repair items the cost of running it
is 10-20k and it mostly give 220-240k a match.

It is a better money maker than my fast awesome, on pair with the jenners but far more low fps friendly.

It does not matter what setup the enemy team has.

I Never had a problem with any SRM cats before, for some reason they always seem to miss. Bad pilots I guess?
