As we all know there's a huge amount of Suicide / AFK farming going on in matches. What's your view on this behaviour?

I wanted to get an idea of what the percentages are between those who either do it themselves or don't care if others do it, and those who are actively opposed to it. How it might be prevented it is another topic.

As long as I am forced to play with PUGs and risk having a large repair bill because of their suicide farming, it is completely unacceptable.

Until these matches start to mean something, it makes not one bit of difference.

Apparently.. the alternative is to accept that the issue is being ignored due to the complete and total silence of the developers and company on the matter.

They do really. The person is hindering everyone else by not participating. Its a cascading effect really.

What would be really funny instead of banning these accounts they strip all their Cbills away and all purchased mechs and reset them to zero again.

I understand my friend. You can bet its not being ignored because its a hotbed issue. They just cant tell everyone what they are doing. The reason why is it gives the bot makers some insight on the next move and can start programming alternate means. Botts will never go away, they can only quash new bott issues when they arise, this one is of PGIs making though.

I have not toggled my premium button because of this and a few other issues.

i cannot understand people who suicide\afk farm - basically they are playing less now to play more sometime later. thinking that using what you can instead of what you want right now is lower than them is extremely egoistic. i;m ok if by that logic someone decided to buy mech with mc - company needs money. but ruining game for everyone else? this deserves several punishment.

on topic - they are indeed doing something. because there are several names ceased to exist or at least im no longer seeing them.

I know this is an open forum, but I can't even believe this issue needs to have a poll, let alone ask the question if whether or not it's fine to do this. Of course it's not acceptable. If it were, people might as well just not play.

Just because it looks like they are doing nothing, it doesn't mean that they do nothing.

I don't think anyone is trying to argue that it is a favourable situation or that it isn't a problem at all.

There isn't any question about guilt as the ones doing it even brag about it and spam chat with links to cheating tutorials.

Well its a founders premium bonus, unfortunately. Before open beta founders wanted a button to engage our premium time when we wished because a lot of us didnt feel we wanted to pay for the current state. unfortunately people who bought premium time with MC after OB were kinda in the "You see what you get and are paying for it" crowd who know the bugs yet still dropped the MC.

I personally think they need to allow all people with premium time a one time pause button.

I say IP bans for all those caught AFK/Script suiciding.

or at the very least, a FULL account wipe, including reducing their premium time to 0 if a founder/paid for additional time, and removal of all mechs in mechbay.

You want to suicide grind... fine. Enjoy having NOTHING.

IP bans will not necessarily work, since not all ip's are static.

A full account wipe would be much more effective than an IP ban. Against anyone who halfway knows what to do, an IP ban is easily circumvented.

I suspect that there's an administrative or technical reason that they aren't able to do an account ban right now. Perhaps due to the whole PGI/IGP developer/publisher dichotomy.
