Ello there, been playing since closed beta and picked up-ish mechwarrior 2 u back in the old days of GRAY COLORED pc's. I have barely played any mechwarrior games except for the battletech related games Mechassault 1-2 and had a blast even though what people say about it, i like to think of it as sort of Dawn of war 2 over the first Dawn of war games.
Have to admit i was fumbling at the controls until i figured out the lock on button and i don't remember much but its been more than 5 or 7-10 years since i heard betty, then most of my time was taken up by Homeworld or Lego rock raiders
Lets just say i kept pressing the 5 button on my keyboard when i first started...

Current and only build: It works nicely for me except a have a bit more trouble with catapratchs and above

One medium Pulse laser and One Medium laser
Dual machineguns
Streak SRM
Antimissle system
and 352 Armour

Some things i might like in the game to be. Just hopes i guess since i do not know how they would be properly implemented and i know this isn't the right thread

• Allow people to change their weapon button configurations when the game countdowns to 10 but nothing anything else
  
• Might be a bad idea but players that don't fire at least one round or bullet get deducted C-Bills to maybe curve afk's?
  
• Have a "Proximity Warning" Box icon flash at the bottom left of the mech's HUD but only for friendly's
  
• Third person view when you are spectating? I know someone else already suggested this
  
• A estimate of the cost of total ammunition you have in your mech in the mechbay just for convenience and a C-Bill Repair cost for Each Arm or Leg Ect. in the mechbay hanger?
  

Enough of that just wanted to say hello since i have been a lurkin.( I don't know why i like this game so much either :| )

Welcome aboard!

Love Homeworld. I still play It sometimes, usually HW2 though since the modding community is still pretty active and I don't have to practice double think about the story when I play multiplayer. The campaign was the only letdown in HW2 if you ask me.

Good points, I especially like the weapons grouping while you wait idea. I remember a couple of people not liking 3rd person because spectating could allow you to spot for your teammate. I would love a game recording function so you could float around later in a replay from any angle.
